The general aesthetics look fantastic. Love the music already.

Haha, that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think? Sure, the combat was simplistic but the open-world Bethesda created was alright, wasn’t it?

Elder Scrolls VI needs a bigger dragon, possibly the ability to be a dragon, a much bigger dragon, a dragon who breathes ice and fire and acid at the same time and other smaller dragons that litter the dead space between dragons. 10/10 would buy again. =P

We can relax - might have to wait but a console port will be inevitable.

Yeah, I was really disappointed when Fallout 4 seemed to strip down dialogue to the basic essentials without any real consequence to what you said. You could occasionally squeeze more caps out of people, or use a non-violent approach, but it wasn’t very dynamic.

The story sounds very similar to Yume Nikki, with some added embellishment.

I’m just like you - Tomb Raider was one of those things that introduced me to video games. She’s also an important female character in the industry, as you say. Consequently, I’m so disappointed at everything they’ve done to be honest.

Yeah, they’re a great company. They get a lot of criticism, but they stay true to their ethos.

“Scott Cawthon has tried to give too much to the community and milk his success for all its worth.”

He tried to pull an Angry Birds and failed. Putting out too much too soon will just saturate what could have been a growing market. A rookie mistake in the business world.

You seem pretty critical of it. I hear so much good stuff, but it’s always the occasional bad review that puts me off. Not that I don’t think I’d enjoy it, I’m just more picky about the games I play these days. If I’m going to play something for 50+ hours, I want it to be a worthwhile experience.

Yes, you’re right, they are very different aren’t they – but that’s the point.

I’ve applied your reasoning to a different scenario to show you just how flawed it is. Let me do it again for you. You say, ‘Things have been altered and changed for jrpg releases in the west for 30 years, nothing is new here.’ You seem to imply that doing something for an extended period of time alleviates the responsibility of having to defend actions. For hundreds of years, people kept slaves. ...

Wow.

So the censorship of the holocaust is all dependent on time difference, is it?

Had Schindler's List had been 100 hours long, it would have required censorship of offensive content. I suppose, by your standards we would have had a nice film about a nice man employing Jews in a factory. At least nobody would be offended, eh? How about history books, a lot of those require 100+ hours of reading? There’s a lot about history that offends me, should we e...

Where do you draw the line when it comes to removing ‘offensive content’ though? What happens when someone is offended by Schindler's List and asks the director to remove the bits about the holocaust.

They’re a company with assets worth six billion dollars, who have the capacity to employ over 8000 people - and people buy their games. Are they really ‘the worst gaming company,’ or are they just serving a market successfully?

“We all know Alex Gibson has been sitting in the toilet playing Gameboy”. - This was worth reading just to hear about Alex Gibson's football coach.

Haha! I moved on to Ocarina of Time pond finishing shortly after Pokémon Blue actually. I’ll never forget trying to find more bottles in that game - purely for fishing purposes. Finding the bottle hidden in Lake Hylia is on par with receiving the Super Rod on Route 12.

I’ve been looking forward to Firewatch, but We Happy Few is beginning to sound like a game I would enjoy immensely. I hope No Man’s Sky can live up to all the hype that’s surrounding it. I’m trying to ignore most of the marketing stuff for it as the last gameplay video I saw wasn’t that impressive to be honest. I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
