Shadowgrounds to anyone who likes action games. It's an overhead shooter with RPG-light weapon upgrades. It's basically a TPS from an RTS view, as if it was an HD NES game...I'd give it a solid 9/10 simply because there are some environment issues with getting caught on things, but beyond that, for the few bucks it costs, the music, visuals, story, presentation and gameplay are superb.

MOH: AA arguably was, depending on who you talk to. I would put it up there with the best ever, Allied Assault on the PC, that is. I understand that's subjective though. Personally, at the time, I felt Perfect Dark was around the same caliber, as was Return to Castle Wolfenstein (PC) and A Vs. P 2 (PC)...Again, subjective.

I hope people recall that the original IW team came from the Allied Assault team. This is long before they tarnished their rep, too.

Complex was one of the most intricate and well-balanced levels in the game, as well as in Perfect Dark. Brilliantly built and paced.

No, no I don't know what you mean.

I was calling out a fanboy, he isn't a gamer because, well, HE'S A FANBOY...hence why he will be in denial about a game's graphics on a "competing platform"...He's going to do everything to incite pure delusion so that he'll always think PS3 games look like crap and 360 games are eye-bleeding awesome, hence why a gamer will be able to see good games on all consoles and therefore have a righteous and fair poi...

graphics for a LAUNCH PS3 title were actually very well done. You know, this is back when 90% of the industry thought the PS3 was a overcomplicated space computer? Yeah, back then.

Textures weren't anything special but textures don't dictate overall visual fidelity, they simply contribute to it. People like you whine about Killzone 2's textures and we all (true gamers) know how good that game actually looks. Fail.

Resistance is one of the finest l...

I called your point irrelevant, not you. Secondly, you watching the trailer and getting "TOTALLY BIOSHOCK BRO!!" out of it doesn't make it so. I have read pages and pages on this game, you have watched a couple minutes of youtube footage, so perhaps that's where I'm only getting the FPS portion and perhaps a touch of visual flavor as far as drawing comparisons. I've READ and done research, not a 5 minute Google-fest on it. And you started this argument with hate for ...

had their own identity back when it was them and Funcoland...I wouldn't call them "Gamestop's magazine" but I get what you're referring to.

That is more of a partnership IMO, rather than ownership, despite any official classifications that may exist behind the scenes. Game Informer is 16 years old or so...Gamestop, no...

because hype makes a game good. Apparently it's more your "type of game" that makes this game bad for you, that has nothing to do with its quality and more to do with YOUR taste.

FPS fans can always use more FPS games, sorry people. If you're sick of them, move onto another genre. It's coming FROM an FPS dev, what else should they work on? There are plenty of non-FPS games coming out and already out.

not hearing about a game is not an indicator of quality. That factor shouldn't have even been brought up, Spydiggity...Irrelevant. That has more to do with hype and marketing...not every game has Halo buzz oozing from its pores since the first minute it starts development. The game had a Game Informer cover story with like a dozen pages of behind the scenes coverage and interviews last year. It is not some no name wannabe project.

Give an "unknown" game a chance...

are settings, not minigames. That's like calling the head bob in an FPS a minigame. It's an option you can turn on and off.

I'm still confused.

has the rights now, and MGM allows them to. That shouldn't have been the difficult part. They can make all the Bond games they want together, Quantum of Solace, etc...

The hardest part would have been anything to do with Rare, and their material that was proprietary to them, such as music, imagery, artwork, etc...But that probably mostly belonged to MGM in the first place. Rare is the only entity not involved in this game now, as this is still Nintendo, still with MGM, an...

Say what?!

Lower that resolution, son!

Says Jason143...

Huh?

If you happen to find any one person who claims superiority in a game simply because of the pixel count, they're not gamers. But if someone has immense fun with an HD game, you'll fail at taking that fun away from them.

Are you talking about the time-based earned cheats?

I played the N64 one to death (and always want more) and have Source (but haven't played all it has yet) so I'm trying to figure out what you mean.

article "Lono". A bunch of baseless "sarcasm" from an unfunny, uninformed hack. Sarcasm is typically a comical exaggeration of reality. Maybe you should change the site name.

Sorry, I think Cliffy's T shirt is slick, it's not supposed to be "hilarious" and it's not a kid's shirt (this author doesn't understand fashion or art). 3DS is a different kind of 3D, and the Valve hating is not about "hating Valve"...it never...

to the Gabe Newell saga, MegaPowa?

I never made any jokes myself, and I've BEEN playing Valve games (well done) and own a 360 as well, but I will not fault anyone for finding Gabe's previous insults/remarks to be unnecessary and honestly, ignorant. After what he said on the offensive, expect some defensive from some nerds. He was outright brash towards Sony, and you have to come to expect retribution of some sort, at any maturity level.

I won't deny it. If I was in his shoes though, in 2006, I would have taken a wait and see approach and kept quiet, even if I felt the console was doomed. If he was that sure of it, he had to realize that if he was wrong about such a staunch stance against a company/platform, he'd be eating his words later (I don't mean that as a fat joke)...he had to know that if he was wrong, it'd come back at him later and he'd have an entire populace angry and insulted.

it's not about "proof" that you need one or the other, it's about the simple fact that some people HAVE to have wifi or "need to have" bluray in their machine because that's what they're looking for. It's like when someone shops for a new laptop or car, they have a mental list of "must have" features. Just because your list has items 1-10 doesn't mean that someone else's list is relegated to those exact items. Don't make the mistak...
