Kinda ironic, isn't that? The show is actually intellectual in nature and substance, but like was said, is beneath a facade of fart jokes and sexual humor. If you are incapable of seeing beneath said facade to the hilarity and irony below, don't watch it, but don't act like you're too good for the show. Kakkoii is totally correct IMO.
some deep set of revelations in each episode, Awookie. It's not meant as a drama, and if you've never heard of ANY of the celebrities, it's not a show for you. It constantly makes references to pop culture, movies, VIDEO GAMES, music, politics, etc...and if you don't understand those references, I can see how it seems "random" and haphazardly written. It's not. The show is incredibly well written, well animated, unique, biting, and laugh out loud hilarious. If it's "not your th...
doesn't get the high brow fart jokes. Family Guy is golden, end of story.
epidemic is more about the spread of panic more than the virus itself, if you know some of the facts...kinda sad, the regular flu kills thousands a year in the US alone...really, it's kinda overblown, it's just another strain (H1N1) amongst a plethora already out there sitting in wait.
but I really don't even pay attention to them normally, I was responding to the inquiry of value regarding MSNBC here...if it's "creative" then perhaps I'll take a look to see what you're talking about. I won't hold my breath, as I barely read what critics say, pundits say, reviewers say, and so on, without adding not just a grain of salt, but a big heavy-handed, objective dash of salt. It's sad when I get more candid points of view by watching standup comedy here than when listenin...
I put little stock in our news corps/stations/entities (Fox News being at the bottom), and I'd say that because MS merged with NBC some years ago (well, MSN + NBC, the "N" is redundant so is omitted) they've lost value to me. It's sad when people from other countries think my/our train of thought and set of opinions are a creation and pet project of major media outlets...NOT true...It's hard to trust any of them, and what I try to do is keep a perspective about what is seen: If one ...
where you'd be coming from then, but people like me have our own setup, but love to play when people come over, people who don't have any console, or have a Wii for kids, or just a PC, or aren't into it enough to get one for themselves yet. My gf for example, loves to play split screen with me, to do so separately, she'd have to buy her own PS3 and set it up at her place. As it stands, my PS3 is like "our" PS3...same with a brother of mine, he has a Wii, has his own apartment with h...
but the irony of his comment is this: What the hell is in it for ME the consumer, in considering a DSi, you basically downgraded the DS Lite I already own by taking out the GBA slot, gave it a useless camera because I have one on the cell phone I always have with me and it has 10 fold the resolution, and gave me the ability to play music, which my cell phone and PSP 1000 can ALREADY do. What, that cheesy distortion app for photos? Really?
So, Reggie, why should I upgrade to the ...
when the hell did Sony promise such resolutions? I was never expecting that of them, and I doubt most of "us" (us being non-fanboys with rational thought processes) were holding them to any such "claims". What kind of burden are you placing on them, one bound in futility that no console released in 2006 could carry I imagine, just so you can call it a "relative failure" in your eyes is my guess...sheesh, what kind of crap are you talking about? Honest question, b...
completely nailed it my man, completely nailed it...it's more saddening than we think, because he's not the only one (unless he's the uber-fanboy, with 18 accounts, aka Why Dis, aka POG, aka I Did not Murder Him, aka CoolIrisGB, aka idiot)...Geez, you'd think this would be boring, or, that gaming, if so superior on his/their god-like platform of choice, would supersede any other "hobbies", like trolling. Guess not.
I'd love for Mass Effect 1 & 2 to eventually make i...
the $50 rebate is for the Elite, I was looking into it myself, it's sponsored by Netflix, and through MS. I'm fairly certain it's just the Elite:

and prefer my DS lite, I have a PSP 1000 and a Zen for everything a DSi can do, and my Lite covers my DS gaming, and nobody can sell me on a 0.3 MP camera with an elementary photoshop app on it...sorry, my cell phone has a camera on it with like 10 fold the rez of that. No dice, Nintendo, you screwed up when you removed the GBA slot.
I'm into bodybuilding and pushing 200 pounds at 17% bodyfat...and that's because I'm bulking right now. My optimal is sub 10% and once I get to about 230ish, so I can't be lumped into any category. I have a few gym friends who love gaming and movies like I do, some that love cars or beer, it's about your personality and lifestyles, not a concrete location on some foolish spectrum, seriously, nobody's predestined to be a lardass the rest of their life just because they like games. It's about b...
you can have an opinion about a game, but don't quantify a collective opinion solely based on sales...sales do not equate quality or excellence, lest you try to argue a Cavalier is of higher quality than a Ferrari or a Big Mac beats a Porterhouse...make sense? Wii Play is the best game this gen according to that logic.
...you have to remember not to reduce us in any country to mindless drones who have barbaric gaming needs with a vapid intellect, because I and many others here love complexity and depth:
"but they don't appeal to the North American crowd who wanna blow sh!t up and not have to worry about understanding intricate stories(MGS4) or taking the time to create art(LBP)."....
Not true...not true at all...Don't blanket statement your way through rationalizing why a...
don't know if you're from the US (I assume you are) but just to correct you, Pilot Wings 64 and Super Mario 64 were the only 2 available ON release day here.... Wave Race 64, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Killer Instinct Gold, Cruis N USA and others came out a couple months later for Christmas that year...Wave Race released on Nov. 15th, and the console released on Sept. 25, 1996...Sad, but Nintendo only had 2 games at launch, that would be so scoffed at now, although, the 2 they had were 2 of the t...
the modesty, it shows so much character. What I don't understand fully is the fact that so many people had to wait for a drop in price...it's fine if you can't afford $400 or $500 for a console....but do we really think ALL of society or the general consumer was aware what came with that $400 or $500? Why was it priced so high? What was the competition offering? For many people (like myself) this WAS the bargain system when the numbers were crunched a year ago. I work behind the scenes in a b...
for used games taken off because you are essentially getting paid an hourly wage to attempt the removal of those demonic stickers that ruin the entire plastic case once off? How about the cost of rubbing alcohol to clean the damn things because there's God knows what on the disc, manual and cover, as if someone blew their nose with it for a few years. I think Gamestop is merely a collector of the most horrifically damaged game copies on the planet.
If you want to be above fanboyism, stop with sarcastic flamebait comments that can be seen as fanboyism IN a PS3 game story:

Sheesh, if it's a problem, don't be a pot calling a kettle black and be better than it. I don't get it.
or is going off of word of mouth. Either way, he's incorrect about the show (but I will concede that he is entitled to an opinion, it's just that you have to fairly know an entity to form one on said entity, thus, he's not exactly entitled to one just yet). Seriously, watch the whole show, any episode, if you're like "huh?" by the end of it because you never laughed once, it's not for you, but most people will find humor in ONE of its styles, as it touches on virtually every walk of...
