with them (when have I agreed with Eurogamer? I don't think ever) because the game is still priced at $20, and I got it for $18...Sure there's nothing new, that's why it's less than half of a brand new game. Serious Sam 1st Enc. did come out for $20, in 2001 I bought it, I've played them all, beat them all. So I get the complaints, and yes, more COULD have been added, but that's about all he found wrong, and since most critics gave the first a 9 in '01, I'd say about a 2 point reduction is ab...

shots look sharp, but they're not realistic, there's not enough geometry, it's too saturated, and the textures are still off...and it still doesn't match Crysis.

Edge of Blade, you're diluting the conversation just because you hate PS3. Stop. You call GoldenEye unplayable just because of sporadic frame dips? You're being sensationalist. How is anyone to take you seriously?

the visual fidelity of something is partly related to art style and palette/saturation, so I agree with Dark Witness as well. UC2 is the prettiest console game, rivaling most (I say most) of what PC's can do as far as "sheer beauty"...but "photo-realism" is something else, and isn't the same always. GT5 shots I've seen come close to photo realism, mainly with the cars (not always the environments). UC2 is a little too bright to be "real" and KZ2 is actually close...

and it addressed the file size concern and quality concern that were both on my mind. You're gonna hit the max bubble count, Thom...but bubbles anyways.

I've googled before, but a lot of times the routes are said to have a loss of quality, iffy results, iffy programs, people complain about ease of use or compatibility. And this one even was specifically for PS3 versions. I'm downloading Ver. 246 now, hope it goes well!

but is there ANY way that Divx will give me the ability to get MKV files to play on the PS3, since I get nothing but Divx sending me praises about the format, and I love it because of the quality. I have stuff in 720p quality or so, and they're files. I can't get them onto the PS3 either because of size (it tells me if it's more than 4 GB I think, that it's too big for FAT32 format) or it won't play at all. Out of the tons of formats my PS3 reads, it won't take a couple still, and MKV's are o...

what he's worked towards thus far, but I tried to watch his show twice and I'm not just saying this, I got frustrated trying to listen to him talk and stopped it. I can't be perceptive enough to "watch" a show that has so much fluff anyways and "yo, check it out" diction. I don't dislike the guy, just the delivery. I respect what he's garnered thus far I guess, as well as the connections and rapport he's established, but it's personally difficult to read his posts or liste...

many people are/were claiming MW2 should have been DLC because of the level of progression from COD4. I haven't played L4D2 or MW2 so I can't comment personally, but many people were saying both should have been given as DLC packs for half the retail price they're out at for now.

I have to have connection problems and it takes like 40 minutes to resolve it, and low and behold, I can't edit my post above: I MEANT to say "subjective" and not "objective". Stupid editing confines.

and only agree with about half the choices making it into the top 200. I'd have actually put No One Lives Forever 2 and Mercenaries 1 in there somewhere, Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge, Serious Sam also, and MANY of the games they have in there I'd have higher or lower. Ocarina of Time would be higher, and Super Mario Bros. 3 would be higher as well. Max Payne and Far Cry 1 would be MUCH MUCH higher. And where the f*** is Perfect Dark 1???

This is a very objective concept, so it's n...

Sony had the PS3 priced to mitigate losses, as it cost a lot to develop, create and manufacture, but at least people have something worthwhile out of it, yet you threaten Sony nonetheless. And here you come out with this trash, overprice it when you clearly are not short on money (hello MW2 sales records) and it isn't worth squat. Oh the irony.

I stopped reading at that point and skimmed, I never once said anything about wanting MS to fail. I have a 360 as of recent, and 5 games. I bring levity to your bias and you call it fanboyism. Sorry, pal, but you're more hateful than me and most people here, anyone can decipher that in your posts.

Nobody can say when Sony is bringing out a PS4, even Sony probably can't say, but it's inevitable, just like a new Honda next year and just like another MS OS later in a few. And if yo...

You fail to understand the Sony life cycle because you started gaming with Microsoft I suppose. Either that or you're bad at math. The PS3 IS intended to last 7-10 years, so from 2006 to perhaps 2013 or 2016.

Sony consoles overlap, hence PS2 came out in 2000, and is still chugging along into 2010. Get it? 10 years. PS3 came out after 6 of them, so I'm sure a PS4 will be released in a couple years, and due to the necessity of R & D time, I'm sure they are already addressing c...

is on a roll. You're overstating the issues, or you haven't used the PS3 browser since launch. I could sling some mud your way with "Ha, every 360 gets a red ring of death the minute you turn it on"...See how that slants?

The PS3 browser isn't Firefox, and it's not Chrome, but it's there, it works for about 80-90% of the web nearly flawlessly (a few plug-ins and common sites still incompatible) with the controller, or a mouse and keyboard (which you can get for few buck...

I have the browser if I NEED to use "Facebook" so I'm not sure I understand. They really had nothing more "Facebook-related" to add than what is on PSN now, so, I fail to see what the issue is, seeing as how for years there's been an ACTUAL browser with Facebook on it, not to mention nearly anything else on the net. They basically had 100% there, why are people complaining when they tried to put more on top of that? I don't get it.

And why is Bloodmask never a...

who must have missed all Bobby Kotick's greed-rants, PS3 bashing, and then the PC community's uproar. Or he doesn't care, for some reason, I've seen some people just care more about the game and its legacy, regardless of who gets the money or who's being supported or what's being brought to the table in new iterations (or being taken away, in some cases). Then again, some people don't "hate" the game, they can't stand how it's being lauded as the next coming of actions games, yet do...

the movie going to cost $10 more than normal tickets?

5913d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Activision's CEO Bobby Kotick has repeatedly pissed gamers off with his greedy statements, and thoughtless paradigms and principles on gaming and gamers as a whole. A solid reason why PS3 gamers are offended and pissed off is because he threatened Sony about a price cut, and Sony was more or less breaking even and still recovering from the losses of the first few PS3 years still. Sony has to look out for Sony. They combine everything into the console, and it's expensive to produce, so there's...

Swishman, if you wanted to play what was "most popular" you'd be playing Wii Play and Wii Fit...so what's your problem?

And what the hell is a "framerating game"...Seriously, have you not played other games, the generic ones become trite when the brilliant ones change what we know and expect from them? At this point CoD isn't pushing the boundaries, it's happy pushing stocks and revenue.

something I learned here (that still sounds awkward, but whatever) is that in the UK, "maths" is short for "mathematics" ...whereas over here in the US, it's incorrect, and it should be "math"...There's so many damn nuances with UK English and American English it's hard to learn them all. The only way is trial and error. I've already learned about 70 or so I'd guess, and "maths" is yet another.
