I'm pretty sure Bungie and Halo will be relevant in 10 years. Hell, Halo: Combat Evolved came out in 2001, that's almost 10 years.
I would have waited and reviewed the game first and then see if the the in-game advertising had anything to do with the perfect score. But with anything Metal Gear or Hideo Kojima, probably not.
Sorry, but if that were true then we would still be using the original XBOX and PS2. Or there would be no need to upgrade PC CPU/Memory/Graphics card. While I agree there's a lot more to be tapped from the current generation hardware, to say that the hardware (any hardware) can't be maxed out is pretty ignorant. Bottom line, the software maxes out BECAUSE the hardware can't support the next level.
for putting it into mind of fans that this is an actual race with 'winners' and 'losers'. For feeding this generations 'console war'. I also blame all 3 companies for perpetuating it in some way. In the end the only thing that should matter is if you can continue to enjoy gaming, regardless of the platform.
it was, "This generation doesn't START until we say it starts..."
:)
Based off of sales, developers might think it's okay to release big name games with sub HD graphics because it still sells. That's a load of crap if they start a trend here.
And I can't wait to play it. I'll wait until I see it with my own eyes before saying anything.
Pirating is NOT the same as used/renting/borrowing a game. Pirating is illegal. While developers/publishers make their money from used/rented/borrowed games off of the initial sale, they don't make any money from pirated games. At all. In this case, the game isn't even released to retail but you can already get your free copy.
Regardless of your platform of choice, keep it quality over quantity.
I stopped watching because I felt I would be doing this game and their developers such a disservice. This needs to be played on an HDTV with a home theater sound system.
If you can afford it, get it.
We should just be happy sales are good enough for our favorite market can keep on going and we can keep on gaming, regardless of the platform you prefer.
How some fans take NPD numbers and translate them into worldwide sales. Regardless of the platform, just be happy that the sales are good enough for us to keep on gaming.
The media is the very one who over hypes games in the first place. Remember Halo 3 review swag bags?
Greed is.
I laugh at all the 'defending' going on. PS is copying the Wii but MS isn't copying because on a technical level they're different. Wow.
and that's part of the problem. They're apologizing now to 'ease the worry' so you buy Gears 3. They didn't apologize before because the media gave it a free pass and people still bought it. That and Horde mode worked fine, so there really was no problem. Most 'reviewers' gave the excuse that matchmaking wasn't up so they didn't review it.
Can't believe most people seem to overlook/ignore the glitch fest that Gears of War 2 was.
and Beta test your multi-player is all I ask.
But I will. The quality of single-player experiences is dying. Which makes enjoying good quality single player experiences now ever the more sweeter. Hell, I'll even go back a generation or 2 to enjoy some good old solo play!
