Even though it's still coming this Holiday (for now) doesn't take away the fact that it sucks for fans who's been waiting all this time. Doesn't take away from the fact that I'm still buying it day one either, but still.
Intriguing story and a nice change of pace is why I bought it.
That's all the numbers were used for. Stupid, ignorant, fanboy arguments. I still stand by belief that regardless of the sales data, great games are great games.
Wow, you are what's wrong with generation. You remind me of bigpappy, "I don't care if it sucks or if we don't get any more core games, as long as it sales more than Sony and I can brag about it, that's all that matters!" Pathetic really. I don't blame you, I blame Microsoft in shaping the way this generation of gamers turned out to be.
You left out the part about Kinect's price, which is much more expensive than both the Wii and the Move. At that point most 'Joe Soaps' will go, "Wow, hell no!"
Might be just me but so far the reviews that are comparing MoH to CoD are generally scoring MoH lower.
I bought it because I'm intrigued by the SP. Did I expect greatness? No, but I've played the beta and it was cool enough.
Can I ask what is it about the prone position that people get worked up about so much? The only game I can see the prone being used properly is Battlefield 2, because the maps are huge and the spawn points are set. MoH, CoD, and BFBC2 shouldn't have the prone position because the spawn point always changes and the maps aren't big enough.
Again, this is the generation of counting sales. Great games are great games, regardless of sales.
The way they roll. If they say a product is 'something' then automatically some folks will believe it.
Why even bother?
I'll probably play this game for the story, seem interesting enough. Rent maybe.
Spoken like a true gamer! Bravo! You can surprise yourself when you give any game a try.
Nothing beats free.
Stop playing like you're playing CoD.
Bah, as long as we keep getting great games, it doesn't matter who outsells who. Gamers win in every generation.
Most realistic recoil to me is found in CS and CS:S and Rainbow 6 series, especially the earlier ones.
I'm kind of glad not too many blockbusters are left this year, gives me time to catch up on games and catch up on bank roll. Have yet to open my Legendary Reach or finish FF XIII. 2011 looks to be another monster year for gaming.
I disagree. Sales is the ultimate vote for nothing. Sales will never tell you WHY. Sales does not mean something is good or bad or mediocre. At the same time, I'm not saying to totally ignore sales because from a companies perspective it does say if you will invest in it again. But from a gamers perspective, sales shouldn't matter. For example: if someone played Halo: Reach for the first time and had no idea about how many copies it sold, or even about the whole console war, do ...
Mines is set to 2560x1600, med settings (for smoother movement during intense firefights) and 2x AA and it looks awesome. Oh, and those are the setting in MP.
