Haven't you been visiting N4G since E3? Anything and EVERYTHING Microsoft announce, it is because of Sony. Yep, Microsoft had no intention whatsoever to launch the console the way they wanted it. It's all because of Sony and all of the manipulated polls and botted YouTube dislikes.
You posted this on a pro-Sony website. Enjoy all your disagrees, because they will be coming once they set their pitchforks on fire.
Not sure if you have a Vita or at least had one, but its only good use is the homebrew stuff.
I love how pro-Sony N4G is.
Not sure who wrote the article, nor do I care. Someone forgot to check their sources before baiting the Sony crowd. I also love the fact that whoever wrote this article, has the console/controller release date for December 31st. Somebody obviously has never heard of a placeholder.
"The Xbox One Wireless Controller, which will officially be released on Dec. 31, according to Microsoft, will be priced at $59.99. But the recharge...
The PS1 was able to play your audio CDs. Consoles quite being just for games way before the PS2. ;p
Too bad people still believe that these are gaming consoles.
I love it when people forget that Sony released the PlayStation 3 in North America for over $600.
If dedicated servers is anyone's excuse, take a good look at EA Sport titles.

There's one, where the uploader himself says that they used Fraps to record to their HDD.
Sony fanboys forgetting that many journalists were playing PS3 games and recording them with Fraps, which is for PC.
But the Xbox One doesn't require a constant internet connection, so...?
That breakdown would be as legitimate as the poll which was on either IGN or GameStop, which showed Middle Eastern countries voting on-par with North America and Europe.
And hey, the PS3 started off slow because of all the negativity it received around its pricing structure and the whole multi-tasking thing not being an option due to limits in the hardware.
Look at the PS3 now. Just released ANOTHER exclusive which is destined for yet again many, MANY Game of the Year awards. It has picked up a lot over the years and being a gamer who can enjoy both worlds (Xbox 360 and the PS3), I am happy that things came around for them, since I was a PS2 ...
Remember back in the early 00s when more people were using dial-up and broadband was for the 'middle-class' home? That is all this is, but in 2013.
Microsoft helped evolve console gaming online back then. Maybe now their vision can't be seen because of ignorant gamers who jump to conclusions, but over time it'll be clear.
Can't wait for my console and launch titles to arrive at my door.
If you are unhappy with the numbers and how they add up, go and use TrueAchievements. I like their system a lot more than what values Microsoft and/or developers have given Xbox gamers.
Welcome to N4G, where being slightly incorrect or having an opinion will get you many disagrees.
To answer your question - no, it's not tied into your XBL subscription. I think you have mistaken gamerscore for tenure, which is the little number on your profile which tells you (or others, not sure if others see it) how many years you have been a paying Xbox LIVE member for.
Every week, it's the same thing. Goes to show how creative the community is.
So Saints Row "IV" shouldn't be released so close to GTA V because of sales numbers from previous titles? =/
People said the same thing about Battlefield 3, when it released ~2 weeks before Modern Warfare 3. Looking at numbers, Battlefield 3 has held its own and did a great job with its biggest competition.
The only way Saints Row "IV" will flunk is if the final game does indeed look as it did in the trailer because let's face it, ...
@MysticStrummer I'm sure he would of, if he wasn't forced to enter an online pass code to play with a friend, online or even LOCALLY. Yes, locally. You can't play co-op via system link within the same household if you don't have an online pass.
I love how you got disagreed with. Fanboys are out in force today!
GTA IV wasn't all that. It rode the wave of GTA III and other releases. GTA IV compared to GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, it was a huge disappointment.
Bring on the disagrees. Just confirming to me how confused you really are about your choice in game.
Renew Xbox LIVE or PSN Plus..... screw it, at least PSN Plus gives me over $600 worth of games for a fraction of the price.
Wish the entire collection was available, but beggars can't be choosers.
Sony fanboy logic
$499 for Xbox One - OMG what a waste of money. Too damn expensive!!! Remove Kinect and lower the price, then I will consider buying one.
$500 for PS4 and Vita bundle - OMG this is the best idea ever. I am getting this because you are getting what you pay for.
