This comes after all of these reports about Xbox LIVE profiles being stolen and having their MS Points being used. Rather they work with EA on solving the problem.
At the end of the day, you're getting top notch FPS games. That is all that matters.
MW3 when I want to goof around and just have fun.
BF3 when I want to play a little more seriously, but still leave room for a good laugh.
They both appeal to me, as they should to anybody who is a fan of the FPS genre.
Nintendo have been around for over 20 years. PlayStation have been around for over 15 years. Xbox has been around for over 10 years.
For as long as the sales numbers reek in the profits, they will not stop.
That's what you SOB's get! Take out online mode from Saints Row: The Third, to make it solely a single-person game, but force them to purchase brand new copies if they want an online pass to play co-op, which is the SP experience all over again.
Greedy bastards. I hope this is a sign of what is coming to EA.
Microsoft need to re-think their strategy for family packs, as these stolen accounts are linked to it right away. Perhaps if they removed it, or made it so the 'child account' has to go through a 2 email verification process, where the 2 email accounts are those of the person(s) who is paying for the subscription/points, then it would make things a lot more difficult for those who steal and sell the accounts.
Just my 2 cents on it.
To those of you complaining about paying for Elite but having to wait for DLC (PS3 users in particular).
Did you not get the memo when Activision and Microsoft signed a deal to bring DLC to Xbox LIVE before any other online service? This has been happening since MW2. If it has taken you 3 years to hear about it, blame yourself, not anybody else.
Seeing the amount of TV-based content available on the Xbox 360, whether it's free-to-air or not, I don't see the point of Microsoft TV.
If anything, it's better they scrap it and concentrate on bringing more content to Xbox LIVE. It's worked well over the last 16 or so months. It will continue to work well.
So those "Humble Indie Bundle" games are to be blamed as well? Because for less than $5, you can get some amazing games, yet people still tend to pirate those.
For the article itself, while I do agree that the industry itself is a part of the problem, shopping around is one of many solutions. What you pay $60 for, I could find for $10-$15 less. It's not much, but every saved dollar counts.
This is a no-brainer. It's written into the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use.
@Mikeyy Xbox LIVE gets me security, therefore your argument is invalid.
@FunAndGun - $200 extra over 5 years ha? That is why Xbox LIVE tramples PSN when it comes to online services for consoles.
Perhaps if you weren't so stingy and paid for Xbox LIVE/PSN Plus, you'd know about benefits, but since ~$40 a year is too much for you, maybe you should take up another hobby.
Has the majority of those disagreeing even seen a PS Vita with their own eyes? I doubt it. Can't even imagine how many have even touched one.
How does one pass judgement, when they do not know anything about the product?
The PS Vita was OUTSOLD by the PSP. That's quite embarrassing if you ask me.
Note to all - do not ever, EVER, say anything slightly negative about Sony. Even if true, Sony duds will come along and praise its work, obviously disregarding the flaws.
Lucky for me, I have the best of both worlds, a PS3 and an Xbox 360.
If there was ANY exclusive I'd want, assuming of course that I did not have an Xbox 360, I think it would be Alan Wake.
The other games, though it would be great, I don't see myself playing them on any other console.
Agreed. Too bad that the video games will never be anywhere near as good as the original series.
I'm more excited for Hitman over any other game. It's been too long since Blood Money.
A good read, but your reason for Battlefield 3 goes against the "not just for graphics" part of the article, as that is the only reason why it's on the list.
Other than that, I can agree with just about everything on the list. Especially Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike. They should only remain on the PC.
They also have Sniper: Ghost Warrior for free. Only available to first 20,000 people though.
If only they utilised something similar to EA and not having anyone under the age of 13 playing online. THEN the biggest problem with Call of Duty will be solved.
Downloading from Xbox LIVE (UK). Not sure why PSN (UK) is missing out right now, but I'm hoping to compare it on both consoles and see how things are in terms of gameplay/controls.
