Even if they did raise the price, shop around. The RRP for a 12 month subscription in Australia, at least via Xbox LIVE is over $60. I purchased a 12+2 month card a few weeks ago for $44.
It's people who don't know any better, like those who shop at GameStop and know nothing about cheaper gaming, that pay the RRP for an online subscription.

I can imagine all the 12-13-14-15 year old kids clicking vigorously through the list, looking for Call of Duty.
The list is nothing more than a hit for the website itself. Their ad revenue from the time it was posted and over the next week will never be matched again, so let them have their cake.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing here and there, but what's new since COD4? It's all DLC and nothing more, which adds little to no excitement to the games.

You must not be familiar with PSN+, because if you choose to not renew the subscription, you no longer have access to the full game.
It was supposed to be available to PSN+ members, but it got delayed a week, which means it will be made available days AFTER its release on Xbox LIVE.
To compensate PSN+ members (like myself), they are extending the free offer of BttF, which has been available for a few weeks now. Nothing says sorry like putting an extension on something that just about every PSN+ member would of already downloaded.

Of course they can. With the 'sister console' being capable of connecting to the 'brother console', both the 3DS and PSV will go a long way in changing how games are played in the palm of your hands.

It kinda does matter. They dropped the price because of poor sales. Yeah, first week sales were outstanding, but it just dropped after that and continued to drop.
Anyway, what's done is done. They learnt a hard lesson.
Can't wait to get my hands on this game. Game Informers review was positive, even without the additional analog stick, so I'll be opting to not buy the add-on.

In terms of what the console can do, while the 3DS is amazing, the PS Vita is already a step above with 3G and WiFi connectivity. If the 3DS could implement both of these in their next revision (it will happen, track record says so), then it will be hard to separate them both.

Not every Xbox 360 user pays the RRP for Xbox LIVE. Not every Xbox 360 user is even subscribed to a paying membership.

I am an avid Xbox user and I concur with this comment.
Their lack of exclusives is really disappointing. What, Halo? Oh, okay, that's one. What else, that is EXCLUSIVE and ONLY available on Xbox 360 is coming out in the next 12-18 months?
I don't play my PS3 as much as I'd love to, but their range of exclusives has raised the bar and Microsoft aren't doing anything to try and close that gap. They're more worried about entertainment on Xbox...
