It's out today.

I can almost see the THQ board members rubbing their hands with glee with the mentality "ahh, the suckers bought more DLC than we thought they would... Bwahh hahah haa."

Business model:

1, make 10 hour game
2, shorten it to 5 hours
3, sell 5 hour game at full price
4, offer 1 hour as free DLC to make them think we have their best interests at heart
5, sell remaining 4 hours as PDLC.
6, shareholders happy.

Pretty lofty claims with no real source, and if you can't even research the name of Mirror's Edge's main character (Faith by the way) then all credibility is lost, not only in your words, but your website.

Let's hope a more reputable source can spill some beans on the matter.

£449 is still rather high priced as far as I'm concerned no matter how good the TV is.

The point is, the censors stifle creativity. If I recall Mr Dinklage when accepting an award mentioned that HBO were amazing to work with because as a rarity in the industry they allowed for creativity hence why we have the show in the first place. We'd never get anything like this on the BBC in the UK no matter how well it was produced.

Why should there be people out there that hold the creative arts back for a supposed greater good. It just makes having ratings meaningl...

Do you remember the two fireteams where you could choose characters and individual loadouts. Being able to swap on the fly to each team member. Those were the days. Too much for today's COD youth.

Well said, look at Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clark) and how she grows as a character from being abused by her brother and her husband. The sexual themes are a big part of the game, it's the way they are perceived which requires a bit of maturity.

Totally agree with this. Mature should mean mature. Why does some board deem a bit of boob or graphic violence too much for "mature" people? It's condescending, patronizing and damn right wrong. The AO rating is an industry joke right now thanks to the ESRB and BBFC.

And thank God not all games are like Call of Duty. I prefer tactical any day of the week.

Interesting you say this, when games are slapped with rating stickers and are supposedly more corrupting whereas TV has no such bounds rather than the "contains scenes of violence and a sexual nature" before the show begins.

I love this series and think Peter Dinklage's character Tyrion Lannister is excellent.

You miss the point. TDM allows for respawning and if not it isn't game over if you're killed. The article suggests that in co-op if one team member dies the other three can't just carry on regardless, they all suffer so lone wolfing isn't such a good tactic when the stakes are so high.

I imagine if you're one end of the map to the other three and if you take a stray bullet there won't be enough time for them to come and save your ass.

Using frame packing, I wonder what the loss in quality will be like though?

No, but I do wish games would make the act of having sex a bit more challenging considering it's a "game" we're playing.

Here we hand over the coin and are treated to a meaningless scene with no challenge and no real reward. Rather than merely have these moments for the sake of a gimmick, something more rewarding would make it worthwhile to pursue.

I can't think of any game where the act of sex wasn't merely there for the sake of de...

Sex in videogames is always awkward and I guess no matter how tasteful the Witcher 2 tries to be it still looks kinda weird.

I'm torn as to whether I prefer suggestion rather than graphic depictions of sex. Until we get ultra realistic body animations and some daring developer, then it just doesn't sit right with me whether that be alien sex in Mass Effect or heterosexual activities in games like this one.

They need to be competitive if they are to compete with the likes of Tescos, ASDA etc.

Also CEX are now selling new games which they never used to.

It's tough out there.

Top marks. WOW!

I guess no one here has played Kinectimals which shares many themes with Milo. They got around the whole paedophile aspects by using animals instead.

No it can't. The original was a good game but not the kind of game to save a company. DS II looks like it will be good but not enough.

This is the real reason the game sold 350K in its first week.
