LOL Far Cry 2 lovers and no one mentioning the AI that could spot you hiding in the bushes, in the pitch black from a moving vehicle some 100 feet away. Or that as soon as you saw a patrol everyone would be on high alert. Great game but did have its flaws. I would love a return to those grass roots style of games but with better AI.
Just needs to paint her face white and you get female Sting.
The pop-in is diabolical.
I see what you did there. Clever.
He doesn't influence sales, but he does analyse the games industry as part of his role. Therefore, he is allowed to hold an opinion even if that turns out to be incorrect. You have to always take what he says from an investor angle. I think that point gets lost on most of the haters on N4G. GOT is a new IP and therefore has its own challenges in terms of making sales, in hindsight I assume it has done very well software sales wise. Hardcore gamers obviously watch all the pre-release ambl...
Using the full quote, he didn't actually say it would fail. He said it would lack broad appeal in terms of selling consoles. "Pachter said that the game’s innate ‘Japanese-ness’ will hold it back from broad commercial appeal, at least in terms of selling systems." He did recognise that it would be a great game though especially amongst the hardcore gamers. So your choice of words "fail" is a bit melodramatic.
A number of devs with tangible products are making VR games & experiences for PCVR and Standalone platforms simultaneously so they get the best of both worlds. I am not sure the dev in QUESTion will be privy to Valve's plans tbh.
In this instance, he believes the focused exposure gained from these events far outweighs the $20,000,000 cost of attending that Sony might be saving. I suspect with more buzz for certain games/products for a company, it's value increases making for better investment for his clients.
Whilst some of you might simply dislike Pachter because you disagree with what he says or see no relevance in what he says. What you need to consider is his position as an analyst for Wedbush Securities (An investment firm which has $2.4Bn under management some 6,000 odd clients). These aren't Sony/Xbox fanboys but people with $$$. If you are purely looking at the investments market then perhaps Pachter's words are completely relevant. In this instance it could be that Microsoft's...
Bit of a disingenuous response considering these events sell tickets to members of the public and have done for quite some time. It's how the organisers can recoup some of the millions it costs to host these things. Day one of these events is always buisness and press. The others are consumer. You are correct the events are for deals to be made and wares to be showcased but it's not all closed doors. These events generate a lot of hype/interest for products from the press and attende...
Obviously too young or ill-informed to pass judgement. Honestly, Orchard. You just mugged yourself off. Starbreeze Studios' The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is a very well-known classic.
Is this the Meat King? That mission was awesome and so sexy too. I see they tried to recreate a similar vibe but more woke in Hitman III's club level.
To the neg voter. You only see it when you look at the suggested articles when viewing another story. Try it out if you dare.
The N4G thumbnail said, "Cyberpunk 2077 Returning to PSN on June 21, Sony Warns" Rather foreboding. Lol.
Guys, remember this is PC Gamer. It's a longstanding magazine (and now website) running for over 20 years and in several countries. I think the show format is deliberate, possibly to suit the tastes of their readership and much like Devolver, to be different from the norm. They have used this same relaxed, goofy and informative format for years and don't think they will change it. I think the hosts can be a little cringeworthy at times but overall seems passionate. I think Sean Plot...
The Last Night, Replaced...
Peter Moore GTA IV Tattoo is up there (2006).
I think they should have stuck with making games in the same style as Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil Nemesis remake. Agree the first person horror should have been a new series.
It does feel totally pantomime so far.
I think Kinect coupled with untethered VR like the Quest 2 could be pretty amazing. I think some people already used kinects with VR.
