>sensationalist, exploitation, sexism and Kotaku in the same sentence
lol no, I'm out
>violence in video games
People did the same shit with books, movies and comics. Guess what? They didn't end up causing jack shit.
No. Please for the love of god, no. I don't want to have to pay to play online. Please Sony, don't do this.
Why is blatant flamebait like this here? At least the comments here are civil, which is surprising considering how fanboys on both sides act the second Nintendo and Sony are mentioned in the same sentence.
@Chrono
I was simply correcting you that they weren't the only ones. If someone looked at your comment they might get the wrong idea, thinking that only 5 devs left when the article was simply naming a few.
>Monster Hunter, Bayonetta, SMTxFE
>casual
Just because the system is 'for everyone' doesn't mean every game is for everyone. There are games for casuals, 'regular' gamers (don't want to be handheld and play simple games like Angry Bird but don't want to play especially difficult games), and hardcore people.
>including Mojang, Rovio, Criterion Games, City Interactive and Frozenbyte
They weren't the only ones, they were simply the ones mentioned by name. Besides, 5 isn't half of 53.
That...doesn't seem good. On the other hand, they got some new devs on the list. Here's hoping there wasn't some sort of issue between Sony and the devs that got taken off.
>Yep until they bring out a new Zelda and Mario title. After those titles are released then they are really in trouble.
They have more than that. I know they're iconic of Nintendo but please refrain from simply going 'they only have Mario and Zelda'. Because that's what you seem to be implying.
>Plus the Wii u is no better than having a PS3 or 360.
That's just blatant misinformation.
Other than having the bar raised, how is any of what you wrote a win/win situation? You said less exclusive games for PC, and I doubt they'd like that or consider that a win.
No shit, right? I was looking at that going 'I can see some of this stuff happening' and then I get to the Nintendo section and I'm just like 'What the fuck kind of journalism is this?' I know it's an opinion piece but goddamn, have some integrity and actually try to keep bias out.
Why so much hatred from MS fans toward Sony/Nintendo fans? Why so much hatred from Sony fans towards Nintendo/MS fans? Why so much hatred from Nintendo fans towards Sony/MS fans?
Because people are stupid and can't just enjoy the medium they use to play video games and feel the need to constantly justify themselves.
>no beta invite
;_;
On a serious note, the game looks surprisingly fluid and responsive using a gamepad.
I dunno, a SSB demo would be fucking great, even more so if it's actually playable like people are saying. Not to mention the new Mario and Mario Kart games, which are always big. Then there's potentially X, Retro's game, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, SMTxFE, and Wonderful 101. On Sony's side, they got the new Killzone, potentially some more Deep Down, and Naughty Dog will likely have something good. Then there was the list of developers that said that they'll be developing for t...
Potentially, albeit unlikely. Watch Dogs is a new IP, whereas GTA has an established fanbase. It might eventually catch up or surpass it later on via word-of-mouth, like how Demon's Souls got many of its sales. regardless, I'll be getting both if I can.
>more blatant flamebait
It's been out for 3 months. It's still technically in it's launch window and almost no console has had a decent launch, much less good. Games start coming in at March, like MH3U, and they still have 3rd party support, despite what people are saying thanks to Rayman going multiplat. Wait until after they show their hand at E3, then start wondering.
Jesus christ Gearbox, what the fuck did you do? You just went from respected to reviled on a level comparable to EA/Activision/Blizzard/Capcom within a month by so many gamers.
>No, there will always be playstation, xbox, pc, nintento product, until one of them decides they don't want to do it anymore.
People said the same thing about Sega back in the day.
Can someone explain to me what the point of this is? PC gamers already have something (likely) more powerful than it, and console gamers could just use the money to get a decent-to-good PC. There can't be any exclusives as that'd mean cutting out the PC fanbase, which would go horribly. The only use I could honestly see for this thing is if it can play both console and PC games, which is unlikely as most multiplats end up on PC anyways and exclusives are called such for a reason.
Considering there have been numerous tests over the years disproving it? No. Will politicians and soccer moms stop using games as a scapegoat once its debunked again? Nope. Until some new medium comes around, people will blame games. Same shit happened to movies and comic books.
