"The Playstation Network has only slightly improved in the eighteen months it’s been on the market and as of now the loser of the online component in the console war. As with other components, the Xbox 360 is the clear winner and all of the above features (and more) that may come…will only come in the future. " (from the article)
piss poor article, coz wii's online component is fantastic isn't it? at best sony comes second place to MS this gen and thats if you believe...
hmm not convinced.
ps3 will undoubtedly receive a slight hardware push but i doubt it'll outsell wii. i'm keen to be disproven but i doubt it has happened.
and why are psp sales up?
cant believe this argument is still going on.
after now playing through (and completing) MGS4 i personally think you'd need to be dillusionial to give a review score of less than 9. still... reviewers are entitled to their opininon, personally i'm still stuck on chris buffas remarks that this game needs to be less like MGS and look more at what the competition is doing. LUDICROUS remark, honestly.
"...As usual, we've taken the negative bits from a bunch of generally positive reviews for a game and put them together into a ridiculously skewed and damaging whole. The point is not to destroy a game that people seem to enjoy, but to point out the valid bad points that can get lost in the waves and waves of praise."
which would be fine if the article actually did that. bottom line is that most consumers read a couple of reviews if they are unsure on a game and i can...
i got mine at lunch. this is proving to be an expensive week for games as i picked up mgs yesterday and ratche t& clank on monday (just to see what all the hype is about)
still.... at least i'll get plenty of gaming in, in next few weeks.
lmfao, not sure i beleve this but its a brilliant story nonetheless.
whatever happens i think sony has done very well this gen, they have started listening to their consumers, helping their developers and actively participating in making the ps3 console bigger and better day in day out.
there is still a lot to do but the console has come such a long way in the last 6 months and will continue to go from strength to strength with new game releases and firmware upda...
me 2. i reckon the japs will have gone mad for this....but we'll see i guess
its funny. in the time its taken you to b1tch about the install time on N4g, the game would probably have installed on the console.
personally i dont understand the install time issue - i think its retarded to go on about it. if anything the only thing i agree with on issue of installs is the issue of space, as i am currently @ 48GIG on my 60GIG console (which is actually only 55gig according to drop down in memu)
was same last night - got in @ 5 and was supposed to be going to pub for couple drinks with some mates. it got to half 10 and one of my mates phoned to ask where i was - i honestly didn't think it was so late.
was like: "err....yeah i'm not gonna make it" then played on till 2am! was so hungry this morning when i got up for work its not even funny!
games addictive. seriously
oh noes!!! 93 on metacritic? what a sh1t game!!!
jesus ur a douche.
and stop comparing the game to halo 3, h3 is an fps alien shoot up, the similarities between the two games only exist in ur mind.
@ REDZEV, so the amount of disks a game is on doesn't spoil the game?
for the record i agree, but its on par in "ridiculousness" with reviews docking points for installations to HDD. yet how many ppl (and fanboys) spout that bs at every opportunity?
even @ 33 gigs thats 4 dual layer DVD disks for a release on 360.
i dont think this is true though, i reckon thes p'shopped.
LOL @ Sev, fair point.
everything can be considered a FAD the. i admit my mate plays his Wii a lot less than i play my ps3, but personally i think its coz he genuinely does have better things to do. have just spoken to him on this and he says after you've owned a Wii for a week, the wiimote looses a lot of its excitement, but then new and innovative games come fourth that change and develop the functuality.
his main gripe is the lack of online play and this is wh...
MS must be quick with repairs, are they making housecalls now?
mgs4 is out in two days. i doubt you could get ur console fixed 20 times before its release.
has it reallly come down to "my penis is bigger than urs"?
at least the console wars have ended. BRITJADG FTW on d1ck size.
LOL.
think you have that backward, its 360 owners that are GREEN with envy. (like the pun? or do you need it Xplained?)
i feel ur pain Jason360, is ur console back at the MS repair shop again? dont worry - MS promise to have it back within 5 business days.
@ Euphrate.
I have no doubt that ps3 will continue to sell well with its SOLID game line up (like the pun there?) strange that people in here believe that ps3 will sell 5 million more consoles than 360 this year (or even next year) when it is struggling to outpace 360 by more than 20,000 a month at the moment. with respect, that would require a hail mary.
i dont deny that 360 is starting to lose momentum but i would imagine gears 2 and halo wars will pick things ...
looks awesome, am loving the creative possibilities.
usual bs if you ask me
how can WII be a FAD when its sold 25million consoles?
xbox is currently in second, its 5/6 million consoles ahead and i doubt that figure will reduce much past 4 million by christmas. both systems have games coming out (though i prefer the ps3 lineup as it is potentially a great deal stronger,) so if 360 is to come in third - its not gonna happen for ages.
i'm sorry. your lecturing ps3 users on let downs?
Sony could do a microsoft and release something before its ready, but they have chosen quality once again.
if microsoft had done the same there probably wouldn't be 3 million users out there who've had problems with RROD but then it was the only way MS weren't gonna get annihalted this gen.
sheer speculation unless you got this from some source nobody has seen yet?
for all you know MS have paid 50million dollars for a giant billboard in the centre of liberty city that says "i love bill gates."
