i have to say the idea seems a bit pointless, especially as its likely to cost a fair amount of money.
for same price you may as well pick up satellite or that Virgin tele thing. whole concept seems odd to me. its innovative and summit new for a console dont get me wrong but i dont see 90% of ps users being really all that bothered about it
it surely depends on how into demo's you are?
i rarely play demo's so why would i want to pay a premium service for them? personally i'd like to keep that 50 quid for i dunno... full games maybe. but they'll be somebody on the opposite end of that spectrum.
bottom line is why should every1 be forced to pay so that somebody else who's into demo's gets them "free". its an incredibly stupid argument to make. plus, i'm fairly sure the majority of demos are free on ...

a lot of people have been saying that this is no big deal because gta is multiplat, whereas games like halo were exclusive. while theres a certain amount of truth in that, halo didn't have an 18+ certificate.

ps3 seems to be arguably surpassing xbox with all the stuff its got in the pipeline though... home and playtv are good examples of this.

the 18/12 million split in VG is GLOBAL hardware sales.
other than the uk which seems to show a much stronger 360 preference, the rest of europe has pretty much stuck two fingers up at 360 - (there are a couple of exceptions). lets not forget Japan, (which while not europe)not only stuck two fingers up at 360, but then proceeded to metaphorically piss all over it.

i for one am gald that they are not releasing yet another incarnation of the hardware. i think its ridiculous they gave up on the 60gig so easily. differing HW is exactly the reason PS3 had so many issues with GTA.
i actually agree with him. xbox is supposed to be getting a bluray addon option and ps3 is getting XMB. the systems are getting to the stage where they are almost identicle to each other minus a couple things.
where i disagree is that xbox/ps3 is anything like Wii. thats bs. Wii does a great deal of things different, focusing in on its revolutionary controller rather than realism (most notably: graphics).
for the amount of time we (europe) have been waiting there better be a bloody good reason for the delay: the controller being made out of solid gold for example.

the 80 gig has software emulator, the 60 gig has the chipset actually built in. this is why 99% of ps2 games run on 60 gig, and the other "BC systems," as of yet are still suffering. (some simply dont work, others dont work particularly well)
