"And there are hundreds of other studies which say otherwise."
Post a link to them, or provide a references to the studies.
Your comment makes a lot of assertions and doesn't provide a single piece of evidence to support your claims.
My point was made in my first sentence: "There is a study recently done by many scientists that show violence in video games does lead to aggressive behavior in children."
It seems most people who play video games assume there isn't a link (I made this same mistake). I decided to search the internet to see if I could find any scientific studies on the issue and discovered that scientists have found links in numerous studies.
Here is some more in...

Everyone grab your tinfoil hats! ;-)
Just kidding.
On a more serious note games sales are down at the moment. Sales for games provide incentive for gamers to purchase games and provides additional income to game companies while the market is slow.
"That's a very limited and very immediate way of seeing this matter."

Right, clearly cancelling subscriptions has no impact on the long term viability of a game that is funded based on subscriptions.
@Palitera
How many subscriptions are they losing by banning people?
They are losing money by banning because the monthly fee is gone for every ban they do.
You do know it's $15 a month for the subscription right? That's $180 in revenue per year that is gone every ban.
A QA team can only suck if it exists! ;-)
Personally I find it odd they would ban people for this. Every ban = the end of a subscription. It seems like they are trying to make the game fail.
I'm against cheating but forcibly cancelling subscriptions just seems really dumb because every banned account means part of their revenue goes away.
What about this:
JAMA, The Journal of the American Medical Association published an article by numerous scientists that did find a link to children that play video games and violent behavior.

The law never prevented children from playing the games it only prevented children from buying them. This meant it was the parents choice to purchase the games for their children.

A Microsoft company giving out free stuff. Sounded fishy so I checked some amazon reviews.
--- Top rated amazon review 1/5 stars ---
I would like to start first to say that I have owned every Forza game created to include this one and have loved what they have done in the past.
That being said, It is a sad day for gaming when Turn 10 and Microsoft put out a game like this. Asides from the lack of tracks, cars, weather, or day/night (I know it...
I think cut scenes are fun to watch the first few times.
Being forced to watch a cut scene on every play through can be annoying.
@iRocket
You have to install Origin to get your "free" game.
Google this:
origin spyware
Q. How is releasing a 2008 game on Origins for free a genius move?
A. Most people like Dead Space most in the series but it's unlikely it's getting sales anymore. By releasing it free some people will install the origin spyware which EA uses to gather information about people's system to sell it. Google "origin spyware" for details on the data EA steals from people. Additionally if people like Dead Space they might buy later versions of the game generat...
Reviewers usually get early copies for review.
I was in the beta and the early game play videos match the ps3 graphics in the beta.
Just search youtube for "dark souls II beta". There is tons of footage of it.

The wii was popular because it was cheap and had a lot of casual games for it. The wii u is relatively expensive and has almost no games.

I think the controller has a lot of ways to improve interaction in games.
The problem is the controller significantly added to the price of the Wii U so Nintendo priced themselves out of the casual market.
The short answer is Sony pays companies license fees to get put their games on ps+ so companies do get revenue from it.
Game companies get money from it being on ps+. They get potential sales of future products. They also get a larger install base which can contribute revenue from DLC.
Budget gamers win (cheaper to play games). Non-budget gamers win (try out games they missed). Game companies win (more revenue, potential sales). Sony wins (ps+ is so good of a...
It's related to the growing trend of gamers buying unfinished and unpolished games.
The study IGN references shows that 5 year olds don't play many video games. From the study "We did not find associations between electronic games use and conduct problems, which could reflect the lower exposure to games and/or greater parental restrictions on age-appropriate content for games compared with TV."
The webpronews.com link doesn't reference a study. It has a link called study but it doesn't go to a scientific study.
