6. I detest any game that deliberately wastes my precious time by making me do shit over and over and over to be able to continue to play an entertainment product that I've paid for.

5. It must be a nostalgia thing. Manuals became irrelevant as devs became more adept at incorporating intuitive mechanics and integrating the learning curve into the narrative. A quick glance at the layout during setup now suffices.

4. I completely agree. I lack the patie...

Can it not be both? Of course it can. It IS both. Obviously.

I absolutely agree. Being obese is completely optional and profoundly unhealthy in so many ways.
I've got a bit of a pot belly from too much whiskey and chub-tubs (Häagen-Dazs pralines & cream).
I love 'em both but the things that keep me consuming them in moderation are not wanting to have to suffer the plethora of hygiene issues and life-shortening health consequences that come with obesity as well as the shame of seeing myself slowly bloating over time in...

Agreed.
I don't want to know that a dev is even THINKING about dlc before the game's even been released because all it tells me is that shit has either been held back from the game or cut out of it so they can sell it to me later for even more money.
NOTE TO DEVS: if you've done either of the above, stfu about it until your game is out because hearing you tell me about how you're about to f*ck me just makes me hate you.

"foreign"?

Great games all around, however it's yet another month in a long line of months that offer f*ck-all for those who buy lots of games because, like most months, I already own every damn game being offered. Why the hell did I pay for this service? (it's just a rhetorical question...)

Yeah this is at least the 3rd time it's been posted here.

It looks as though we have very similar tastes in games. I don't see the Suffering games on your list. If you are into horror games, you should definitely check them out. They were amongst the best of the generation.

The return!?
90% of indie games being released right now are 2D. We don't need more 2D -we need LESS.

Same Gamescom footage from the article that was posted here a week ago.

It's $20 and no, it's not worth it

"services become more expensive over time"

Exploitative greed and artificial inflation make services more expensive over time.
Technology advancements and cheaper bandwidth make (or should make/used to make) services LESS expensive over time.

That Agony gameplay footage of hell from Gamescom looked pretty damned intense.

3452d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

I would switch out quite a few.

Some great trilogies that could/should be on the list:
Bioshock!? duh.
Crysis
Dark Souls
Dragon Age
FEAR
Witcher
Resistance
Black Ops
Max Payne
Infamous

a couple of personal favourites:
Serious Sam
Alien Breed

Here in Canada the price will be going up %40 from $50 to $70. I'm am not cool with that. I don't think I would abide by that sharp an increase in the price of ANYTHING.
I don't do multi-player and I generally buy most games that interest me within a few weeks of release, so most of the benefits of a PS+ account are irrelevant to me. The discounts offered over the course of the last year have put the cost of PS+ at little better than break-even at it's current price. ...

Great, now that we've gotten that out of the way, can we get to work on an Alien Breed game now please Team17? Pretty please...with sugar on top?

I see zero reason for any existing PS4 owner to sidegrade to this version. It's really only for new buyers because there's barely any difference between this and the original model.
