I dont mean to be a douche or anything, but this seriously looks like the same stuff they been showing all year, same stuff at E3, same stuff at Gamescon, just minus a few games like Dance Central and Gears.
I was expecting some news on the Crytek exclusive or something.
Dang, lovemyps3, when I saw this article i thought, THE GAMERS, but you beat me to it, bravo.
which is why you read this article, right?
Lol, im sorry the the Dance Central AAA thing was a bit funny. Not saying its not a good looking game, but its not the best Kinect should be able to offer, gesture tracking, its gotta do better than that.
But The Fight does look bad to, also gesture tracking, but EyePet is cool, its basically Kinectimals, with some augmented reality thrown in there, which is neat.
Hey outrageous, we meet again.
But Sony has been showing more games and Tech Demos than Microsoft, have you watched E3 the past two years?
And of course Sony is working on glassesless 3D tv's. Its what companies do if they want to stay a part of that market. Why invent something and then not improve it? Just because they are working on 3D tv's does not mean that they are the optimal choice for viewing 3D content at there current stages.
I agree outrageous, but I don't think that detracts from the point that it has been catching up in sales. Sony has a better hold on the world market, whereas Microsoft has a better hold on the US market. Which even sales in the US have been great for the PS3 over the past year, not just in other countries.
Thanks for the clarification Spacetattoo, but I would have to argue the PS3 is doing quite well, seeing as how it is closing in on competition that is selling quite well.
Hey man, love your sales data and comment.
First of all, Xbox 360 is currently out selling the PS3 in the US because of its new Slim console. But for the past few years it has not been out SELLING the PS3, it has simply out SOLD in the grand view because of the year head start. If you analyze that data, which is still off seeing as how the PS3 has sold a little over 38 million, then you will notice the PS3 has had the highest Year over Year growth compared to its competitor...
Whats funny is Kudo seems to be confusing 1:1 motion tracking with response time. His response about the person clapping and the button press are dealing with response time. Response time is rarely ever EXACT, there is always a delay, even if only by milliseconds.
1:1 motion tracking deals with mimicking the players movements exactly on screen. Even this seems hard to accomplish, but I've seen some sub pixel type 1:1 motion tracking that seemed pretty damn close.
...
Why dude, whats the point of bringing up a PS3 game in this article?
On Topic: that is very impressive, 1.5 million pre orders.
Well, you can stream a heck of a lot more content to your PS3, seeing as how it supports more file formats than the Xbox 360.
About the installs, yes, some PS3 games have big installs, RE5 is 5GBs. That is unfortunate, but not a big deal when a BUILT IN hard drive has been included since launch that can handle that, and upgrading is very easy and very cheap. But most newer PS3 games I've played have no install, GOW3 is a good example, takes up like 5 MegaBytes? thats n...
The problem is these bundles are Motion Control bundles. Reach and Gears DO NOT support Kinect at the moment. Whereas GT5 and Killzone 3 are set to support MOVE. So based on that logic, the PS3 bundle should sell better because it caters to the 2 games you mentioned for PS3. Whereas Kinect offers nothing for Reach or Gears at the moment.
But in the real world price is a big factor, and the cheaper price tag of the Xbox bundle will shadow the fact it only had 4GB memory....
Its called being realistic.
They understand that not every product is going to sell out day one. Tech like 3D and Move can be hard to grasp for people that are turned off by the price. Even though Move isn't that expensive. But for those that don't look up videos and tech demos of Move and read reviews of 3D games are most likely going to be convinced to buy into those technologies if someone they know tells them about it.
It is a bit easier for so...
I question things like this to sometimes, but when it comes down to it consoles don't ever have as much ram as your typical gaming PC. And when you compare Sony's choice of ram for the PS3 to other consoles, they didn't do any worse, they even chose XDR ram, which is faster then what most of us have in are typically computers.
Short answer, Yes.
My friend just called Sony when he bought a new slim because he ran out of activations, they told him they would contact some people and see what they could do. They ended up deactivating his dead console. So its worth a try to give them a call.
Not a bad idea, I'd prefer it to be that way, because I usually get more agrees than disagrees as well, but I have a feeling I'll be a three bubbles for a while.
Wow, looks pretty good, can't wait to see more.
It is def not a hardware issue, this is just lazy development. If they can not get the game to run equally as good, then they need to fire who they have developing for the PS3 and get more experienced people. It is just about 4 years since the PS3 launched, there is no excuse for this type of development.
Yea the CELL may be harder to program for, if thats the case get more experienced people.
By the way, this goes for both systems, there is no reason for ...
They both look great. I'll probably end up picking them both up. But I'm really looking forward to KZ3, haven't played Crysis before but it looks good so far.
