Sadly your right with the PS3 fanboy thing, why get so worked up if you aint gonna buy it anyway right? haha But the same can be said about 360 fanboys, they troll the PS3 articles just as bad, and I'll probably get disagrees just for mentioning that.
But in all seriousness, I'll call Kinect "okay" technology. The idea is amazing, but unfortunately the R&D cycle wasn't long enough to get some better specifications at a cheaper cost. An example wou...
I am really curious to see if this happens, they've been talking about it for a while now. Put your money where your mouth is Microsoft, show me the numbers come November haha.
Honestly, no I haven't played it yet, but from the videos I've seen and personal accounts I've read, Move is more forgiving.
It all comes down to the developers familiarity with the systems architecture. If the developer isn't experienced at allocating memory, or utilizing the SPE's, they usually do something like having mandatory installs to make up for their ignorance.
It is true that games like KZ2, GOW3, and UC2 dont have installs, the reason is those developers are well versed in the architecture of the PS3. They are accustomed to it.
Well, your still in warranty im going to assume, since your PS3 is only 2 months old. So send it in, get it fixed for free.
I don't understand, if Sony wanted to intentionally break anyones console wouldn't they do it when the console is out of warranty? Not 2 months old. They lose money off of that type of transaction. Think about it.
@ Kasasensei
Lol, you just bashed DJMarty for using a personal account to defend a point, but you used your own personal account above,
2 months to get your PS3 back and 4 months for the game, plus your "opinion" that there is something wrong with the fat PS3's.
Hypocrite
And also, consumer electronics have a warranty, if your past your warranty, you must pay, thats how it is with everyone, you think MS will fix...
I'm sorry to intrude, but who are you talking to Hank? You're the only person in here right now.
EDIT: Not only person anymore. But still, who are you talking to?
I understand what your saying, it is very similar, but this article lays out a lot of negative aspects of calibrating Kinect, like the space needed, the noise requirements needed for voice recognition to function (which in my opinion is the worst of the bunch, lets mute are games? wtf?), and the lighting requirements.
These are very similar to some concerns about Move, but unlike Kinect, Move doesn't require such precise conditions. It can operate in almost any lighting ...
the disagrees are crazy, I meant nothing bad about Halo, I was just saying the article is pointless, seeing as how Halo Reach isn't number 1 on the list anyways, but to be number 2 in such a short period of time is a feat in itself and quite expected from a Halo game. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this article is pointless, just meant to rile people up for no reason.
either way if you actually read the article and navigate the sources, Halo Reach STILL ISN'T number 1.
@Sukerpunch
LOL, you made me laugh to, didn't read your whole thing because I knew it was going to be something from a fanboy himself, just ranting on.
But I'm no fanboy my friend. I may have some opinions and likes for one over another, but not a fanboy. Which is why I'm not going to get worked up or over your comment like you clearly got worked up over my short one sentence comment. Calm down please haha.
DURR, obviously they are not "serious" competition yet, one has been out for a week and the other isn't even out yet.
And yes, Nintendo does win at bringing out "classic" games, its the bulk of games I see from them. This is because Nintendo relies HEAVILY on its older series, like Mario, it keeps people coming back.
And I can do what your doing to, Move already has two hand fulls, easily, of motion controlled games and examples of mo...
LOL, thank you sir, made me laugh, but seriously, theres like a fuckin scroll full of Sony's killer apps.
haha, whoa, calm down man. And I hope your talking about the article not me lol, cause I wasn't complaining, believe me haha.
I'll give you a bubble just for your pure rage.
@ HydraxFFX
I see what your saying, but Sports Champion can be hardcore to a certain group of people, think about it, gamers are diverse, to some Mario is hardcore.
Also, when a game is announced with 2011 as a release date like in those videos, they are typically pushed back or delayed somehow, I'm not saying that gonna happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of those games dont make it to market before 2012.
And I agree...
@ Above
Well Sony has been doing research into motion control since then to. They've been doing research into all kinds of motion controll, Controlerless motion control, augmented reality, motion control with a controller.
And Move and Wii are not the same, the concept may be the same, but Move was better implemented to work like its supposed to. Both are supposed to recreate your actions on screen, Move does a better job at that. So who cares if they ...
Hey Hydra FFX
Ever hear of sports champion? that was built from the ground up with Move in mind. Just because Sports Champion isn't "your type" of game, doesn't mean it wasn't built for gamers. And I love how you say "tact on", like Guerilla games is't implementing move from the early development stages, and Socom 4 isn't being developed with Move in mind?
Besides the point, if you can tack in on to a previous game th...
Screw the US, your biggest market?
Must be trying to expand out east, Japan and the UK.
It is good of MadCatz to do that. Those damn hackers.
It is a lot easier to sell something that is "unsure", like Kinect. And I dont mean "unsure" as in it doesn't work, I'm talking about the concept. Like I mentioned above, it keeps performing better each time I see it being used, which tells me the tech is being improved. Only problem, devs are using older versions of the tech to make their games, but thats another story for another day.
Microsoft is selling an "idea", and a radical one...
