Its crazy. What's even crazier is that there are people who will go and lambaste a company for releasing a game with bugs, then turn around and complain these same developers should avoid crunch altogether?!
Crunch bad, bugs bad. Pick your poison.
You either have the hard work to eliminate the bugs or you release a buggy game that people bitch and moan about and don't buy, then tell their friends how buggy the game is thereby deterring sales.
So "hard" and "work" are on the list of unacceptable four letter words now?! Got it. Never thought I'd see the craziness we see these days. Literally everything can and will get turned around and spun into charlottes web. Even the simplest attaboy. Absolutely insane.
Well that's a shame cuz you missed out on a pretty damn good campaign with Halo Infinite. MP is all the Dave to me, I care more about the campaign if every FPS. There is no better single player FPS campaign available on Xbox or PlayStation right now.
All of them. Last if Us 2 used 14 different developers. God of War used dozens of outside developers, including a team from Naughty Dog. Even Insomniac had help from various companies across the industry. Why do think the credits were so damn long!? Look it up. They all do it you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
No but you must have missed in the God of War credits where ND is thanked for their help with development 🤣🙈
Thank you for providing the links so some of these trolls can educate themselves!
Holy hell you guys should really research before you post. Literally EVERY developer of AAA uses outside resources! This is standard development practice!
You really need to do some damn research cuz you sound like an idiot. Every company does this, it's the nature of game development. Go read the credits of literally ANY PlayStation or Nintendo exclusive.
Yep. I see lots of trolls coming in talking Xbox this Xbox that, making comments like it's just Xbox teams that do this. 🤦🤦🤦 My god these people are sad. If it weren't for support studios and sub contractors we wouldn't have any AAA games! Just proves that people don't actually finish their games cuz this is all listed right in the credits lol
The fact people don't know this tells me they don't finish games and read credits. Literally every single AAA gets outside help in some aspect from some studio. Don't know how people didn't know this. Willful ignorance
It is widely known that Breath of the Wild was developed with mucho help from Monolith. This is not news, Matt is right 100%. Different studios help with different aspects in nearly every single game, especially AAAs. Ever read the credits to any game? Yes even Sony and Nintendo games. Its right in the credits.
The reason I'll always be a multi console owner.
Idk that Soulcalibur was 98 though, pretty sure that was a Dreamcast launch title on 9/9/99
Its sad because I have a special place in my heart for the PlayStation brand. But I don't agree with the greediness they've shown this generation. This is how brands die. They ignore the longtime fans to chase profits and show no remorse when they mess up. They're probably thinking that anyone who bought this version had the money to buy another one anyway 🙈
Ill withhold judgement until I play it. It does look like it will be fun, and gameplay is king to me, but it just looks so empty and bland overall. Thats probably part of the story though right? Just feeling a little burnt out on these end of time games where the worlds are so desolate and unpopulated as a story device. This is why I loved games like Spider Man and GTAV. Games with living, breathing cities where people acknowledge your presence and react to it. I could play Spidey for hours o...
Still get goosebumps! Those double disc PlayStation game cases were like exotic sports cars for teenagers of my generation. These games may not be the lookers we once considered them to be, but that gameplay and story is timeless!
This is why I worked m ass off most of my life. So I could buy all the consoles I wanted. I remember the school yard fights over Super Nintendo vs Sega Genesis. I was always like eff that, Im gonna be rich and buy them all while you peons argue over which one is better. Now I just buy them all and play the best that each has to offer. Problem solved.
I got my ps3 at launch but had to buy this bundle when I saw it sitting there on the shelf at frickin KMart lol. Im gad I did because my launch PS3 died weeks later and all I had was this 80GB model. Had one for the living room and one for the bedroom. I remember having to wait almost 2 full days to completely have this game updated to actually play it, but that feeling of having it in my possession was still so awe inspiring!
Have not played in ages, this is something tha...
Can't wait till you get to eat that plate of crow. Playground is an amazingly talented studio. Fable will be amazing and Matt is just excited to show off what he's seen. Clearly it's still early and the devs don't want to make the wait worse for the fans. I personally want to see something. A brief gameplay clip or even some of the art assets they're using. At least we know it's coming.
