Short memories. They offered the same cross over bullshit games and took a couple years to get reasonable releases, just like this generation will.
The output of a stereo cable is always stereo, NEVER surround. the only way this could work is with a surround decoder within the xbox, or the controller (which I have never heard of ever) sending a derived stereo signal to the 3.5 mm output.
That would mean that the XBOX one would be responsible for all surround decoding, which is highly unlikely that they would be doing that, considering it doesn't even handle surround encoding via optical cable (the standard connectio...
What are you all talking about? Surround sound of out your controller? That doesn't even make sense. Audio comes from the console optical out, as it does on the PS3, PS4, XBOX360, X1, etc. That's the only way to get surround from ANY console. The controller on x1 only offers voice chat.. this adapter allows you to use your current chat cable on your headset. That's it.
It is true the x1 doesn't support dolby yet, which is a supreme fail, but that's ju...
Agreed. Once people stop focusing on framerate and res, they will realize how nice all these dedicated servers are, that bypass bandwidth peering agreements with verizon and TWC and Charter and all those bullshit cable companies that have been ruining my MP gaming experience for years with their shitting connections. NO MORE PEER SERVERS. Thank the gaming gods. Honestly, this matters more to me than a bit of resolution. Nothing is more infuriating than player lag.
it's like nothing you've played yet. I've been gaming for 20 years, never seen a game like this.
BTW every game you play is an arcade game. They are all bullshit if you want to compare to the real world. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
You obviously haven't played it. The game is fun and fast paced. It was not 'terrible' like you claim. It had decent graphics and frantic gameplay. OH and top notch MP servers on XBOX 1. No lag, no bullshit. Plus it's just a beta.
This game will probably lick balls on X360.
You all focus too much on texture resolution and native render, however, as much as that is nice, and good to have... the gameplay is what matters. As I played this ...
Titanfall IS a great game. It's not a COD killer, it's a DIFFERENT GAME. True, it's an FPS, but it played extremely well in the beta, which is a rare scenario for betas these days, and even fully released software. Don't be hating because MS actually has a decent game.
Seriously? Why does EA care about X1 sales??? They sell software. They benefit directly from more nextgen console sales. Time to head back to school.
I'll stick with my Astro's thanks. These headset you are talking about are shit.
The adapter can be fashioned easily using the headset included in the X1, for about 3 dollars and about 15 minutes of your time.

LOL DRM is everywhere. PS4, Xbox one, you name it. All your digital content is locked to your username, or controlled in some way. Everyone talks like MS is the only one doing this, but EVERYONE who deals with digital distribution (steam, xbox, ps, itunes, google play, etc) ALL USE different types DRM. You people just really don't understand how the world works apparently. Everyone talks like MS is bad for controlling digital content, when literally everyone does it.
His assessment is accurate. If they couldn't get the juice over this past holiday, it's more than over. 3rd party support is non-existent, and due to rising development costs, no-one is going to release a version for a system that sells 1/10th the volume of the other 2 new systems. It just doesn't make business sense. There will be less and less multi-plats for this system over time.
Everyone here seems to forget that these are companies. Companies who are public...
These polls are very biased. Most normal average people who buy these systems don't read IGN, or give a shit about gaming polls.. Those people are buying xboxes, because that's what their friends have.
Sure, but instead of waiting, you an leverage what you have now as a temporary solution, then buy the real one when it comes out. Hell, you might even learn a real world skill in the process.
This is not bullshit, it makes complete sense. Let me put it this way...
100 man hours
with 1 guy working, it takes, 100 hours
with 2, it takes 50
with 3 it takes 33.333
So while they say MAN HOURS are up 10x, that just means they need to hire more people to meet the schedule..
(North American analysis) I think you are all over-estimating how good the streaming will be over our current internet. There's going to be latency and massive data usage going along with all this. Talk about blowing bandwidth caps, if your home is streaming movies, and now games, you are going over. Also with the US recently striking down net neutrality, get ready to PAY for these streaming services via your internet provider. They are going to be targeting high bandwidth services, and...
The adapter can be made easily from the existing xbox one headset provided by microsoft.

It's very easy to make an adapter out of the provided xbox headset. Takes about 20 minutes, costs about 3 dollars. Google it.
You people can't read worth a damn.
It said MAN HOURS. that does not translate to an increase in schedule, but an increase in the number of people working on the project.
Meaning that they must staff with more people, which makes complete sense, when you consider the ever increasing scale of maps, detail in graphics etc. They even said in the article that it had nothing to do with programming, which is true.
TLDR; Next gen development co...
I don't think it's the same target market. PvZ is rated E for Everyone, so it's designed with kids in mind (obviously). Titanfall is a bit more mature.
