I love not having to use a remote for basic functions, like pausing a movie or turning on the xbox. I can do it as I walk to the kitchen without stopping. On the preview experience it actually seems to work better than ever. Perhaps that's part of the upgrade, not sure, but the preview is fast and the kinect works a lot faster, everything is slick now. No need to hate on a camera and mic so much. Don't use it if you think it's better without, but really, it's convenient. Y...
native resolution is scaled up to 1080p output for every game.
They JUST demonstrated how it will in fact very soon be a big part of every single average user's experience. The fact you are not understanding the implications is expected. The audience of this site seems to have dubious technical knowledge at best.
They do not have the infrastructure. MS had it going in. Sony as a whole can't afford to create the network. So in fact, while the act of offloading data can be done by anyone, the actual infrastructure does not exist for Sony, and is unlikely to unfold.
MS showed a real life, real world, un-matchable cloud experience, and you want to brush it off like it's nothing.
You don't see the big picture. It's very clear of you can step back and look at thing...
unless it's a cloud compute framework to rival MS azure, the xbox will keep gaining ground.
Not this time. They actually added new features the competition can't. You folks are underestimating how big a deal the crackdown 3 demo is. And not for the game crackdown, for the future of the consoles. You will see a huge push to use these cloud resources over the next couple years, and you will start to see the ps4 lag, not because of framerate, or other things, which it will likely remain a leader on (barely) but the environments and interactivity will be superior on xbox one exclu...
Don't forget, MS just actually showed us the cloud computing 'secret sauce' is in fact a real honest feature, un-matched by the competition. When the games start to open up using them, full scale destruction, XBOX is gonna start to gain ground. They already are.
When you are dealing with numbers that small, the difference between 4 and 39 is technically statistical error. It's irrelevant. Uptime is 99.xx percent, good enough. The difference is small, and there are other metrics such as ping time where MS is better. The service is solid, stop looking for holes. This is an enterprise layer being leveraged for the console. It's something new, built on proven mission critical hardware/software solutions. It's gonna be good.. These systems ar...
lol. You can't tell real from fake. too bad. That's a handy life skill. They are going to eat you alive.
Uptime guarantees on azure cloud are pretty good. Better than your average multi player server. 39hours of downtime all of 2014. pretty sure the world will survive the few are far between outages.
You literally just did see it if you watched the video.
The tech demo shown is using real live cloud. The implementation is genius, from a tech perspective. It is going to work. Scaleable, etc. Different buildings on different server instances, amazing. Just killer. Sorry to say, they nailed it. Even if this is not the very best game ever, the tech is now proven, and will be jumped on by all very soon! This is a dramatic change in the dynamics of gaming, and solves a lot of issues for the future, especially with scalable server tech like MS has...
That does not change the fact that it is in fact speed. That is the only assertion I made. Just because speed has that effect on hyperactive people does not change the fact that is is speed. Also it does not 'slow you down' it effectively focuses you more so you brain can stay in check.
Yes, ADHD drugs are speed. Speed also in the correct doses will give you extra concentration etc. They are UPPERS. They have the same effect on your body as speed, because, they are speed. LOL.
Adderall = Amphetamine-dextroamphetamine combination
These people are playing for real money. Anytime there is cash on the line, it gets serious. Adderall is essentially speed, which will improve reaction times. I wouldn't want that in the game either.
With a good router, you can stream everything wirelessly without problem (in your own network). i have an Asus gaming router, and it handles anything you can throw at it. Cheap routers will clog up their frame buffers and slow down all traffic. Wireless is more than fast enough for almost all streaming. Get a better router if your wireless streaming internally in your home network sucks.
Most peopole use shitty low budget routers. They won't handle the streaming well.
You could also just allow the right router ports and internal routing and not expose your whole network to the risks associated with turning off all your security.
There is literally nothing wrong with Windows 8, except not a perfect start button. It's really the same experience as 7 with that one minor issue (which i don't even mind). Don't buy the hype.
If it's so easy, why is this the first game to do it? His comment is valid.
