You would be surprised how many people are willing to pay this price for a good racing wheel.
Fanatec sold 10,000 wheels PWTS that went for a similar price point and they are selling the newer version called the GT2 like they are going out of style. I preordered the 911 S 9 months before it was released and nearly shelled out $500 up front to be sure I received one as soon as it launched.
I have a friend that pays more than this for shifters or pedals for...
You should have told Fanatec I sent you their way. You are the 2nd person today to order one after playing with mine. Alex is coming over tonight to give it a go. If he likes it, which you know he will, he is going to order one tonight as a Christmas present to himself.
This Thrustmaster is coming out on my birthday (1/5). Now I know what to ask my wife to get me. LOL! Yup, you know I'm getting one. At the rate I am going I will have a cockpit in every room soon.
Alpha if you crash in a sim the race is over. Do you play Forza or GT5? If so do you play it with the assist turned off? If not why bother playing the game or voicing your opinion at all?
Sim racers played as a sim (all assist off) is best played by doing everything you can to avoid contact of any kind. The least little bump with the assist off, in most cases, will have you spinning out of control and into a wall or pile of cars. Guess what? Race is over.

I can't help but laugh at those that talk about damage and bouncing off of things in racers like GT5 and Forza. Most of the guys running their mouths either don't play the games at all or play them with most, if not all, of the assist enabled, including cosmetic damage only or not at all.
Sim this, sim that. If you are playing with all the assist on you are not playing a sim. Seriously just keep your yappers shut and go play GRID or Burnout if you wanna crash.
I don't have any expensive wheels but a friend of mine spends tons of cash on sim racing. He has a Frex and a ECCI Trackstar 7000. They are mounted on real cockpits in his garage / gameroom. They are insane wheels. Especially his new Trackstar. If I was more into PC sim racing I would definitely get one.
You are going to love the GT2. It feels heavier and different somehow (it's hard to explain) than the 911 S. It took me about a half an hour to adjust to it. I ran ...
The only wheel compatible with the 360 that's worth a damn is the Fanatec GT2. I just received mine today and it's incredible. Best wheel under a $1000 I have owned.
Just ignore Dynamo.
He is a multi account troll that up until 2 weeks ago hasnt signed into this account in over a year and this account (TheDynamo) is nearly 4 years old with only 90 comments.
I don't understand why mods don't ban fools like this when they are reported as spam. It takes all of 5 seconds to check his history.
Actually the ultimate wheel for GT5 is the Fanatec GT2.
I am waiting on UPS to bring me my shiny new Fanatec GT2 right now. My current wheel (Fanatec 911 S) was stripped from my wheel mount first thing this morning and awaiting the new sexy (GT2) to be mounted to it.

I don't have it for my 360 either.
Nor does anyone on "my friends" list.
Really now?
Would you like to recant your statement above?
According to PSN account you never touched GT5.

And your gamertag doesn't even exist on XBL unless you have it spelled wrong under your profile.
facepalm
Did you even read the first line?
"GWAR has been touring the world for 25 years"
How could they be the Kiss of today if I saw Kiss a few years ago in concert and these guys have been around 25 years?
Glasses will disappear in a year?
Want to place a bet on that?
Glassless 3D displays at an affordable price range and wide viewing axis is much further down the road than a year away. How you got 6 people to agree with you boggles the mind. Then again it just proves how ignorant and misinformed people are today.
@frosty
Yeah I have row seating in my theater in my basement but only 3 rows. If you were to buy a glassless 3D display today it would add a ...
Recycle.
There has to be a room in your house that could use that 55 inch LED you purchased. That's what I do. By the time I am done my bathrooms with have flat panel LED's.
Marriage is over rated.
Maybe that's why I keep spending so much money on electronics. Something will eventually make her leave. I have been working on it for 20 years and still no luck.
*looks over at wife.. take a hint woman, GTFO!*
3D is amazing glasses or not.
Avatar is mind blowing on BluRay 3D. I think I am the only person I know that has yet to make the jump to 3D. I am literally days away though. It's either between the Pansonic VT25 or the Sony LX900.
GT5 is pretty freaking awesome in 3D as well.
Bummer.
Chris beat me to it.
Which is why EA's CEO is spot on.
I love it when people disagree with a fact.
Yeah guigsy and we were all SHOCKED when they were announced! /s
Doesn't this feel like deja vu? MS bailed on the original XBox like it had a fatal disease and it appears they are doing nearly the same thing but this time in favor of a casual device for little kids and soccer moms instead of new hardware (XBox 360). It's almost like MS is saying FU to the hardcore crowd and "jump in" to the casuals.
The only game I am looking forward to for my 360 in 2011 is Forza 4 and with the implementation of Kinect I am not on the ...
Da Truth
Except this one bubble troll has several other accounts to fall back on. I love how my son created an account on this site last month and was banned with in a couple hours for it being a multiple account on one IP yet trolls like this guy has several and get away with it when all they do is start sh!t here.
N4G either needs to go back to split zones or offer a better way to report trolls like this one here. This place is hanging on by a thread for users li...
