"Everyone is hyping the crap out of this game?"
2 words - Naughty Dog
They have always delivered fun quality products but none more than this generation of gaming (Uncharted series). When we heard rumblings of this game most of us were intrigued but when we saw "Naughty Dog" name on this game during VGA awards? I'm sure most of us probably thought to ourselves, okay things just got real!
How can you not be excited for ...
I know one thing the media should do when talking about the next gen console from MS. Quit calling it the 720. Call it the XBox Next or Nextbox because it sure as hell wont be called the 720 as the original was not called the 180.
With that out of the way. I dont care about specs. I'm sure they will be fine. What I want is MS to invest in studio support whether they build or purchase them. That way we can get some new exclusive IP's instead of relying mostly multiplat...
I don't care what they put next to the article to try and spin this in MS's favor. This, from a gamers perspective, has been the worst year for the XBox 360 for their core user base.
2 exclusives this year from them, 2. 2012 doesn't look any better. The recent acquisitions MS as far as studio support is for XBLA and Kinect games. And before someone chimes in with multiplats, that is a moot point considering both the PS3 and 360 share the same multiplats plus Sony ...
Skyrim, issues and all, wins GOTY.

Agreed PT.
Personally I was really disappointed with the trailer and came away thinking what does this have to do with MGS. Looks like a meh hack and slash title at best. Is this going to be Kinect and Move enabled? It looked like it from the trailer. Even the graphics were just okay and nothing like I have come to expect from Kojima.
From early impressions it looks like a rental. Only time will tell.
That had to be Ellen Page as the lead role in this amazing new IP coming from Naughty Dog.

You do realize that shipped vs sold doesn't mean a bit of a difference to the publisher / manufacturer of the product, don't you? I'm going to wager a guess the answer to my question is no.
Once the distributor "purchases" the product from the publisher or manufacturer it is considered sold by the publishers / manufacturer. In other words they already made their bank.
Products are not given to retailers and etailers on cons...
Would the desperate fools pounding disagree like to see pics of my Black Friday purchase? I picked up a 360 slim 250g, 2 copies of Forza 4 and 3 46" 1080p LED displays. Any takers that would like to challenge my honesty and back it with some cash?
Okay now that was a cool video!
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Please no CAPCOM, NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
No gem system.
Me too.
Picked one up at Best Buy with 2 more copies of Forza 4. Now I'm turning laps on a triple panel display.

Opinion pieces are opinion pieces.
Reviews are suppose to be done by critics critiquing a "product" of all it's value that said product has to offer.
Games should be viewed on the sum of a whole and that whole is just not about the reviewers opinion of one or 3 aspects of a product but the entire package.
I myself have seen, played or witnessed others (my friends or my son) playing various games this generation that don't appeal to m...
Having webspace does not a critic make.
It simply means you have webspace.
I played and completed UC3 and thought it was a remarkable sequel to one of my favorite new IP's this generation. We can all sit back and debate which was better Uncharted 2 or 3. That is opinion. But with that in mind UC2 was the most celebrated title this generation and now lame sites like this wants us to believe that this game is so far removed from the last version it warrants only an ...
That died since the birth of blogosphere where anyone with webspace has a voice and it gets published on sites like this. IGN, Gamespot, Game Informer, etc and so on joined in on the trash trolling for hits nonsense and now IGN is leading the charge.
Coining their own phrase that they started to get more hits. This shit is beyond sad now. Journalism is dead. It's all about what ever shit we can stir up to get attention because that = hits and hits = cash / advertising dol...
It's now 2006 again:
"Seems the only people that complain about the "lack" of games on the PS3 are people that don't own one. Go figure."
XBL GT - BoodyBandit and Skitzoid
1 since it's inception the other a year later. So no, it's not just people that don't own a 360 console, but gamers that are concerned that MS is abandoning us gamers yet again. Why do I say yet again? I never saw a company fold up their tents and leav...
I'm confused. Is the XBox 360 a gaming console or an avenue to watch movies and social networking? "Dashboard updates are a form of exclusives? Halo, Gears and Fable spring to mind for exclusives? Exclusive DLC is a good move." <--That's the problem, most gamers I know want more than just an a exclusive or two per year and quite frankly I am a little tired of being nickel and dimed to death by DLC.
If I want social networking

Oh my bad. I thought this was "news for gamers" so I was "assuming" we would stick to the "gaming" part of their business. Now again, what I am alluding to, is MS more than likely makes more profit off of XBL (gaming division) per dollar invested than anything else in gaming.
I mean they spend a ton of cash on marketing their console and hardware but I dont recall any advertising for XBL but I see a ton of advertising "on...
I would wager MS gathers their largest profits off of XBL. That has to be their biggest profit margin per money invested.
I think Skyrim is an amazing game but you are acting as if VGA's are the only outlet to hand out GOTY awards. They're not. Dozens of outlets weigh in with their opinions on what they feel is the best game each year. Also none of these awards make it a stone cold fact. Merely the "opinion" of the outlet.
People give the media far too much weight and most of the media is tabloid journalistic crap with next to no consistency and zero accountability.
