People who make this kind of statement are probably two things.
1. Already in love in a sickening way and they pitty everyone else who isn't.
2. Gay.
I'm leaning toward number 2 for the OP.
No boobs in this add.
I didn't know people who pay $500 for a console is entitled to more release information. I guess thats why MS treated me like crap since I only payed $300 for a console. Maybe if I paid more I wouldn't have to send it in for repairs twice.
In that case depth perception is going to be an issue.
Based on the demo, its CoD 4 > Halo 3. End of story.
You obviously can't tell the difference between $hit and frenchfries.
Jerricho is a terrible example. That type of gameplay and graphics is not nextgen by a long shot.
What the hell are you talking about? Golden Eye was an outdated piece of crap the minute it was released when compared to the PC shooters like Half Life that was around at the time. Halo doesn't owe Golden Eye anything.
If anything Halo and Bungie roots lay in PC shooters like Tribes and maybe a bit of Bungie's other shooter, ONI.
Why? There isn't anything impressive about any of them.
Quakewars missed the mark somewhere but its still a ton better than Halo 3 multiplayer which is dull and incredibly by the book type of gameplay. L4D will be lock as a sleeper hit and it is just one of the FOUR reasons why Half Life 2, which is a two years old game totally destroy Halo 3. The other three reasons why Half Life 2 pwns Halo? CS: Source, Day of Defeat, of course Team Fortress. Thats not even counting retail quality mods like
I bought my PS3 to watch HD movies so no, it certainly is not a mistake and Sony will be vindicated as time goes on.
What is a mistake is the PS3's 512 RAM. That goes into the WTF where they thinking department. An incredibly short sighted move by Sony, one that could've pushed the PS3 further ahead of the pack.
All real FPS fans play theirs on the PC anyways. The lack of mouse controls and dedicated servers (Warhawk beign the exception) make console FPS very...limiting. That and the mods PC FPS provides an almost endless source of new maps and ways to experience your favorite shooter in ways you haven't before.
The future of console gaming is heading toward full game installs not 100 gig media. It wouldn't be long before you buy a PS3 game, do an install on your PS3 and only use the disc to play cutscenes. If Warhawk is any indication the future is already here.
Sorry but I never noticed. I'm always too busy trying to dodge missles and a billion bullets coming my way whenever I'm more than 5 feet off the air.
In order to have a genre "covered" you must have great games in that genre and in that case all the Xbox 360 RTS titles sucked. They're nothing more than a crippled version of the PC counterpart. The World in Conflict might be the first to break that mold but I'll believe it when I see it.
Bungie did create one of the best, but forgoten RTS of all time. Myth, a great and extremely violent RTS. However it's other none Halo IP, ONI was lukewarm at best.
I saw this coming a mile away. All nextgen bunnies are dual pancaked.
What the...noooooooo!!! Not Sonya!!!
I stop reading after Super Paper Mario. Dumb article.
...on the PC. Its pretty good. Not amazing, not awesome, not OMFG uber FPS AAA 99% review score. Just another solid CoD title that we all know and love. However since I prefer to shoot people in the face than solve physics puzzles in the middle of a fire fight, I like CoD 4 better than HL Orange Box.
If possible everyone should play this game on the PC. The console's multiplayer is totally crippled without 32 players support.
