The VAST majority of PC gamers do not pirate games. You really need to pull your head out of your ass if you honestly think that the majority of PC gamers do.

The 360 is 5 years old, but you have to remember,it launched early. The PS3 is only 4 years old, and it would probably be best for them to release the same year this time.

That was not what I was trying to imply at all. I was simply going over what happens every time a new console gets released, the only people who have the consoles are A) real gamers or B) people who think nothing of spending $400-$500, rich people.
The typical casual gamer doesn't care enough about gaming to spend $400-$500 on a console, unless that amount of money is nothing to them. And thus, the majority of owners of that console will be real gamers, and so developers ...
I want Halo to be left alone. Halo is the reason I am a gamer, it has been a huge part of my life since 2003. I don't want it to die a slow, painful death. Especially since Bungie will no longer be working on the franchise.
I would be ok with remastered versions in the future, but nothing new that will taint the franchise.

I am so ready for the next generation of consoles. The current consoles are way outdated, and it's time to weed out some, or all of the casuals.
As things are right now, it is way to easy to make a quick buck, there is no passion anymore. All you have to do is make a game somewhat reminiscent of Call of Duty, make an epic trailer, add a countdown timer to your website, and you instantly make huge money because everybody and their brother have a PS3 or Xbox 360.

Actually in case you did not know, the 360 and PS3 originally cost over $700 per unit to produce, the 360 sold for $400 at launch, and PS3 dropped to $400 shortly after it's launch. So doing what you just said makes perfect sense.
Making money on the consoles themselves is not their business model, it's the games.

Think about it. A game that is exclusive to PC, and requires a very powerful PC, selling 60 million copies.
Yes, of course they are going to make more money if they develop for consoles as well as PC. But that doesn't mean the game should abandon everything it ever was as well as the people who supported it.
