The article was somewhat misleading. The ps3 is in no way a superior game machine. He mentions Oblivion being better on ps3, then tries to imply all ports are better on ps3. That simply is not true. Oblivion is one of maybe three multi-plats out of around 40 that are marginally better on ps3. The other 30 or so, the 360 versions are marginally better. You can't blame the devs for sony's choice of hardware in the ps3.
I think it's safe to say the ps3 is dead in NA. If my kid is anything to go by, then 360 is only going become more dominant. He says that every kid at his school wants a 360 and Halo 3, and if you don't own one, your not a part of the "in" crowd. The 360 has become the "cool" game console.

I was also in the beta and can vouch for what your saying. The graphics do look noticeably better than this video. The framerate was also much better than this video. Probably a low end PC, like you said.

For a college grad, your either uninformed or terribly unobservant. Do you deny that game developers are having trouble with the Cell? Do you deny that Cell and blu-ray were engineered almost simultaneously? Do you deny that the Cell is being touted as a breakthrough in video image decoding? Are you not seeing the irony here?
If gaming was Sony's primary focus when the Cell was engineered, then I'll kiss your ***. But I don't have to worry about, now do I.

You fellas can spin it anyway you want, but there is an over abundance of evidence that says the Cell is garbage as a gaming cpu. There is also a huge amount of evidence that shows the Cell is suited for video image decoding.

This just solidifies that the Cell was designed to support blu-ray movies instead of gaming. Though it doesn't mention it in the article, Toshiba had planned to use the Cell in their 2006 line of hdtv's. I'm curious as to how Toshiba will use the Cell now. 10 bucks says it won't be for a game console though.
I'm really surprised Condemned didn't make the list. IMO it's far and away more scary than RE.

The ps3 is dead in the U.S. anyway. I just wonder if they will have "Not Backwards Compatible" printed on the box next to the price.
Judging from those screens, this game isn't going to wow anyone with it's graphics. There seems to be no AA, and the textures are flat and muddy. Maybe what it doesn't have in graphics it can make up in gameplay.
