I'm not sure what you mean by last-gen tech. But the Cell WAS originally engineered to be a CPU/GPU hybrid, just like the Emotion Engine. It wasn't until Sony learned that the Cell could barely render simple 3D objects that Sony knew they had to add a GPU. They kept the Cell because it served their primary focus which was being the imaging hardware for their blu-ray player.
And I don't know how you figure the developers you posted actually like the Cell. It is pretty much unanimous amo...
I don't know, but it's quiet possible. I can assure you that Sony's decision to make and use the Cell processor was because of blu-ray not gaming. Anyone that believes the Cell processor is suited for gaming applications is severly misinformed.
The Cell was put into the PS3 to be the imaging device for the blu-ray player, nothing more nothing less. It is garbage for game development. If you don't believe me, just ask any developer that has had to spend an extra year of development on their PS3 multi-plat title because of the Cell.
There are 3-4 Final Fantasy games in the top twenty. IMO that is just sad.
Wow, that was complete fanboy drivle. I actually feel a little dumber after reading that garbage.
When the people that you get your numbers from sends you an e-mail and says your numbers are incorrect, then your numbers are incorrect.
I was worried that this game would be too short. 15 hour single-player and online multi-player makes this game a purchase for me.
It's not everyday that you get to play as the "bad guy" in a story driven game. The demo was intriguing enough to sell me on this game. As long as the game length is 15 hours or higher, I'll add this one to my collection.
The comments from this article were taken from David Karraker's blog. Guess who David Karraker is? He is the head of Sony's PR department. This would be like Major Nelson stating the 360 is superior.
Here is the link to prove it.

That the graphics detail goes way down from single-player to mulri-player. I mean it's still fun, but not as great as the SP imo.
Get a clue Sony: You were the industry leaders this past gen. The next time you want to make a game console, make it to be a game console, and not a vehicle for your far too over-priced media player. Yes, we understand that you will grow your hdtv, music and motion pictures division. You make a promise that blu-ray is totally needed for videogames. But yet you put a BR player in the PS3 that has such a slow read speed, that some games have to be partially installed to the PS3's HDD. What happ...
Actually no, game data is installed to the PS3's HDD because the blu-ray player in the PS3 has the slowest read speed money can buy. It's done to help load times in videogames.
Sony engineered the Cell and blu-ray technology at the same time. The Cell is nothing more than the imaging device for the blu-ray player that was forced on gamers for a ridiculious $600 price tag. It's no secret that the Cell is garbage for game development. The gaming development community as a whole has admitted that it's overly difficult to make the Cell perform the funtions that are key to building a great game. Sony put their media format ahead of gaming, plain and simple. This "po...
Sony trolls constantly try to brand the 360 as a shooter only console. Overlord along with numerous alreay released titles prove once again that these people don't know what they are talking about.
I absolutely love the art direction that the majority of UK developers take. It's magical, and a joy to play.Alot of Japanese developers for almost 10 years now have produced an art style that is borderline homosexual in most cultures. The direction that the more popular U.K. developers ta...
It's true that at $600 the PS3 is priced almost completely out of the market. But in reality, at $400 the 360 is almost priced out of the market too. I'm sure that the PS3 would see a short surge in sales. But until the PS3 and 360 both get around the $300 range, neither is going to break into the mainstream.
It's going to be for 360 too. Hopefully, it will launch at the same time that the PC version does.
I got a PM from the same delusional kid.
I agree. I don't really see how it could hurt Ubi either. There seems to be alot more PS3 fans excited for Haze than 360 fans, so it's bound to sell pretty good on the PS3. While I'm sure that Haze will sell well on the 360. I don't see how it could hurt to let PS3 fans have it a month or so earlier than 360 fans, considering most will be playing Halo 3 anyway.
It needs to be said aswell that the inclusion of the Cell processor in the PS3 had more to do with blu-ray movies than gaming. The fact that the gaming development community as a whole has spoken up about an overly difficult development enviroment, and extended development cycles should be proof enough that the Cell wasn't designed with gaming as it's primary focus.
lol i thought this was a Sony Protection Group production...who farted?
