With all the gritty details coming out today like the switch having a 32 GB internal memory and Zelda taking about 13 GB of storage, that is a fail right there. Having to buy a separate memory card just to put about maybe 2-5 games on it is terrible and anti-consumer to us. Nintendo has learned nothing and that is just one example.
The ports or (enhanced ports) better cost at most $50.
Yeah I'm not happy they are taking this approach either. One major concern is that personally Nintendo does not have a dedicated fanbase like Sony or Microsoft, and I feel like when it comes to the online games, it will be even more limited due to possibly a smaller community and you have to pay for it. This is going to make it very difficult to find full game lobbies.
And now details are coming out that you need to use your smartphone in order to chat with people/frie...
The launch titles shown so far weren't that great. The only one obviously is Zelda, and while I'm sure Splatoon 2 will be great (launching in the summer), I feel it is a bit too soon for that. Other than that, there isn't much until holiday 2017 for Super Mario Odyssey. Kinda meh overall. I really don't see much reason to pick one up right away.
The presentation made me cringed at times especially in the beginning with those two games 1, 2 Switch! and Arms. Like nobody asked for those. It felt like the Wii all over again for a bit there
So why was this not in the presentation? I feel that they need to add more details to it. Yes it got an actual battle mode with new characters, but what else? I didn't see any actual new stages. Was the rumor going based off the 16 tracks just the DLC stages? If so, that is so disappointing and I don't see a reason to pick this up right away if you already own the DLC stuff. Hope they will implement some sort of discount for those who already purchased the DLC.
I...
This is the stupidest idea Nintendo. Unless you prove that you have fantastic online functionality like PSN and Xbox Live, this is gonna fail hard. Nobody is going to want to pay for online if they don't have the software and apps to back it up. There better be benefits and a decent online infrastructure. If not, then this is gonna fall flat on its face.
Kinda figured it would be launch. Not sure why they were being so secretive on the release date towards the end of the conference. It was pretty obvious, especially since Super Mario Odyssey is going to be a holiday 2017 game.
This is exactly what I wanted from the next Super Mario game. Open sandbox exploration. Not something like Super Mario 3D World which in my opinion was an okay game. This is something that can easily make anyone buy the switch. Very disappointed that it is not a launch title though.
Very excited. I hope we see a tease at e3.
I'm gonna try to preorder 2 of them. I'm hoping they go out of stock so I can sell at a high price on ebay. Done it for other consoles in the past and this will be no different.
I'm expecting tons of ports, which isn't what we really want for a brand new system going based off the rumors and little footage we seen thus far.
It's unfortunate. I really liked them in the xbox 360 era, but it seems like they haven't really evolved since then in terms of new IPs.
Even if it does released, I don't think it will be very good. We know very little details about it, and it is by Capcom. My expectations for this is pretty low since we don't know what it will play like. Wouldn't surprise me if it were canned.
No matter what Konami tries to do to combat this, Koijima Productions will continue on its legacy.
The ending made the game for me. Man I had the freaking feels and it was so emotional. I haven't felt like that in a while for a videogame and considering that The Last Guardian don't have much dialogue, they nailed it. The game overall was fantastic, though with a few hiccups for framerate and the camera.
Pretty sure this is fake. There has been so many times when an e3 direct or regular nintendo direct is around the corner and for SOME REASON, the details for that are leaked and most of the times they have not been true. Like Super Mario Frost Land? Really? That's a pretty lame title and I think Nintendo can come up with better titles then that. We do know there is a rumored assassin creed that takes place in Egypt but I doubt they would just call it Assassin Creed Egypt.
My question is if Platinum Games own the IP Scalebound or not. If they do, then I hope we can see it revived some day on another platform.
Eh, Suda 51 ain't bad but I feel like they haven't made anything great recently.
So when they say it will be released this year, is it for Japan only or worldwide? There's a difference and since this game may require some heavy translations, I can see it slipping into 2018 easily.
