@Fishy: That's not what they've been saying though. MS have been throwing around the notion that there was going to be a noticeably huge leap visually. To say that presentation was underwhelming would be the understatement of the year. Everything they showed was comparable to current gen.
@Sophisticated: You're practically contradicting yourself with every point you bring up!!
Stop with the flu comparisons. There's been almost a quarter of a million deaths from covid so far with practically the whole planet under lockdown and it's only been around a few months. You don't have to be a genius to figure out it's far deadlier and the death toll would be astronomically higher without all the restrictions that are in place all over the world at the moment.
I'd usually be the first person to say everyone has their tin foil hats on and everything I see online is sensationalist, but there really is some messed up stuff going on in China right now. I honestly believe we're seeing another pandemic akin to the Spanish flu taking off.
@wwinterj: "....have zero effect on the single player games....."
We didn't/will not get a GTA for an entire gen. Online is definitely having an effect.
Agree with all except Ben Affleck. I thought he was terrible. I loved Keaton but Bale just edges it as my favourite Batman.
Are you referring to Fortnite or TikTok? Or maybe young people? If so, I agree on all and second your sentiment.
Agreed. Celtic mythology is under rated and I've always wondered why no one has really tapped into it through film/games. Even factual historical events in ancient Ireland, like Brian Boru defeating the Vikings, could make great source material for film/games and it's something I'd love to see.
Éire Abú!!!
The only logical reason I can come up with is that there are new/younger generations of gamers yet to play it and it is still the most recent GTA. So, basically it's all the 12 year olds that finally convinced their parents to let them get it 😂
Same here. In my late thirties, generally hate everything, disliking the world we live in more and more each day, becoming more of a grumpy old man than my old man is and not getting remotely excited for anything any more......... TLOU 2 definitely has me as excited as the way I used to feel about big game releases 15-20 years ago. Ghost of Tsushima is definitely getting me excited too.
I just saw the headline and the first thought that came into my head was "oh yeah, remember that Stadia thing." 😂
I went into TLJ knowing nothing about it, and it being the first screening there was literally nothing about it online except all the rave reviews, fully expecting it to be a masterpiece. I was questioning everything about those reviews literally 5 minutes in, and ultimately thought it was terrible long before the credits rolled. My opinion wasn't influenced by anyone.
I didn't.
That's a criminal list for a backlog 😂😂
Yep!! At first I thought it was a gaming PC going under the Xbox brand name.
Forget flutes, it's shakuhachi you want.
"... .the standard 60.00 for a game...."
Standard edition prices start at €69.99 for almost all games here in Ireland now, which is almost $80. You Yanks don't know how good you have it, and yet still complain about game prices.
It's a YouTube stream.
