to see Nintendo back where they belong. In front. They made console gaming what it is today. Saved the market from dying after Atari was done.

That's the thing about Nintendo. Gaming is about playability and "fun". Everything else is second. There is a reason why Tetris is still around today. And it is gameplay.

that Halo 3 will get more updates and maps than Halo 2 did. And Bungie showed some true fan support by adding lot's of new maps, and different playlists throughout it's lifetime, even years later.

That is the great thing about the Halo series. The online multiplayer aspects can add replay value for years. Halo 2 is "still" being played online today.

Last gen Xbox was late to the market and came in second. This generation it came out of the gates first and is ahead of PS3 in "total" install base.

Basicly this generation the 360 is in the same place the PS2 was last generation. Larger install base, more third party support, lead platform for "most" third party games. It will also be the first or second(Could be the Wii) to reach a mass market $199 price tag. That is the price that PS2 sales really too...

The graphics do look truly next gen. It looks like it might be up to The Elder Scrolls series type quality.

And for those complaining about it being a PC game. It is a far better investment to pay $280 for a 360 to play a high end PC game, than to pay about $2,800 for a high end PC to play "the same" game.

It just goes to show that with the 360 architecture being very similar to the PC. That the 360 library of games will continue to grow very quickly...

are rediculous. Everyone has different tastes as to what games they prefer. Being male or female has nothing to do with it.

I don't know what you are talking about "taking the high road". But I have been in a long-term relationship for quite some time. And I have actually learned to "repect" women. I don't think it that hard not to act like a blubbering idiot salivating over a womans breasts..etc..etc.

Is that the kind of behavior that you think women prefer?? Not really.

And in regards to making "fanboy" type comments. I usually try to base my argum...

to get so excited over a woman that you will most likely never meet. While I will admit she is attractive I mean it just as a compliment.

Overall this kind of behavior is just a sign of immaturity from people that most likely can't meet women or have never had physical contact with a woman in general.

The problem with the PS3 is lack of well known IP's. They have no console movers for 2007.

Not to mention the PS3, even at $400, will "still" be the most expensive console. The entry price point for Wii is $250, and 360 $280 respectively.

The important things to the gaming market are "price" and "games catalogue". PS3 loses in "both" of these departments when compared to either Wii or Xbox 360. And for everyone claiming...

Ever since Goldeneye on N64 and the original Killer Instinct. I only wish they would port KI to XBLA. And I wish they would also release a true next-gen sequel to the Killer Instinct franchise.

The old version was made by Sega. And they own the rights to the franchise. It was released on the Sega Genesis.

"I love all the idiots suggesting that 2 discs would work in a game such as this. Especially that one-sided ignorant comment by Bloodmask... holy crap."

Thanks for showing the "maturity" of a non-biased gamer by insulting everyones intelligence who posts in this thread, and also resorting to name calling. I guess your point of view must be "vastly superior" to everyone elses just bc you "pretend" not to be a PS3 fanboy.

The 360's problem is easily fixed by adding another DVD...Big deal. Can you magicly give the PS3 more memory?? I didn't think so.

Just another developer unsatisfied with the PS3's lack of video ram. This will most likely lead to frame rate issues.

I always have ever since the 16-bit days. If true I guess fans can say goodbye to "quality" from Bioware. And PS3 fans can look forward to more cr@ppy "ports".

only speaks the truth. Sony didn't choose the cell processor bc it is a great gaming CPU. They chose it because they had Bluray in mind. The SPU's are used for video imaging for the Bluray movies.

They can be used for other things but it is a cumbersome task that most programmers don't want to deal with. Breaking down their code into small fragments to run in parallel across the SPU's.

The cell will basicly spend it's life as a crutch for the weak RSX GPU. O...

is bc Sony has to spend "Time and Money" to have each game emulated on an "individual" basis. No more hardware from PS2 at all.

Basicly Sony is saying that their "loyal" fanbase isn't worth the "effort" or the money. Kind of like another kick in the teeth I guess.

Microsoft has taken the time and effort to emulate over 300 original Xbox games on the 360. On a game to game basis. Just goes to show you who cares about the ...

of 3rd party developers dropping support for the PS3. With it's expensive development costs and small install base this trend will only continue.

Sony should have focused more on making their platform "developer friendly" instead of on Bluray and the Cell Processor.

Overall PS3 development is "the most expensive" out of all 3 next gen consoles. And developers will see the least profit. Gaming is "a business" after all. And making...

I can't recall any console in video games history "ever" receiving "2" price cuts in under six months.

A games console is all about "the games". This is the reason the PS2 was such a success. It is no secret that the PS2 was the most underpowered system last gen. But it still came out on top due to strong 3rd party developer support. And Games, Games, Games.

This generation Sony just put their harware(Cell Processor) and Media(Bl...

are starting to support 360 games with more weight. Bottom line is they want to maximize their profits. On 360 this is easy bc of the large install base and ease of development. These trends are starting to show more and more. Just look at EA one of the largest games producers in the industry. Placing 360 as the "primary" version for their games.

This is bc 360 gamers are where the money is at. Just observe the chart for proof.

The only reason Sony...

I live in the U.S. and have nothing but respect for the men and women in the armed forces. This is really a great idea not only for moral but "any" way the troops would get to communicate with their friends and families back home is a plus.

Good going Micro.
