Microsoft and Nintendo both are excelling in sales. Last weeks NPD reports state that they both sold around half a million consoles in NA alone.

I have been a hardcore fan of Mortal Kombat and fighting games in general ever since Mortal Kombat 1 hit the arcade scene. That was over a decade ago.

They really need to bring MK back to it's roots when it actually used to have an intuitive fighting sytem like parts 1,2,3, and even 4. Even though part 4 was terrible.
MK used to be about sweeps, uppercuts, and cat and mouse gameplay. Not to mention air attacks and counters, like how in the earlier versions you could use high kicks, roundhouses, and uppercuts to hit jumpkicks out of the air. Not to mention all of the air juggles.

Nvidia and ATI make the most advanced GPU's on the market. The newer GPU's would blow away anthing the Cell could render.
The only reason Sony likes to use processors that can "render" graphics is so they don't have to pay other hardware manufacturers to develop graphics processors for their PS brand systems.
The PS2 had no dedicated GPU in it just like the Cell didn't originally. The RSX was only added to the PS3 to make up for the Cell's shortcoming...

For instance what if 1 million of the 5 million PS3s sold were bought by consumers just for movies?? If games don't sell well on PS3 it will lead to dwindled third party support.
