Yeah the "Business Strategy" is cut the price of your console twice and lose even more money on the hardware.
Because the competitors (Nintendo and Microsoft) are pulling away in console sales and overall install base.
I like how you disagree with me and your best rebuttle is "Think about it." Thanks for the debate.
that a price cut will increase sales. But for Sony to cut the price of PS3 twice in one year is not a good thing for Sony. It means that the console isn't selling up to expectations.
Otherwise why drop the price at all?
Price drop= Good for consumers but not a good sign for the condition of PS3 sales.
people even comment in this article. I've hears it all before. HD-DVDEAD. And a million articles claiming HD-DVD is dead or on fumes. With the pic of the "Giant Bluray Foot" crushing HD-DVD.
Must be a case of multiple reincarnations. Bc HD-DVD is still living. I think that Wal-Mart was rumored to be buying millions of these players and will most likely be the ones carrying it for $199. And since Wal-Mart does about 50% of total DVD sales it will be a big deal.
...
that the Western development studios are superior at FPS development. When I was referring to Team Ninja I was just thinking of the "quality" of the game. Bc I know that Team Ninja sets their standards very high.
will not be leaving Microsoft. So this is a moot point. A Team Ninja designed Halo game would be awesome though.
Lumbo,
Your right. I guess since "you" don't look at extra features almost everyone must not also. (insert sarcasm)
And once again how do you know how many people will access the net with their HD-DVD players. I would bet a lot of people access the internet from their living rooms if they have a console there most likely?? Whether it be a hardwire or wireless connection. I
I would likw to see the survey data you have collected to make...
I know you are just a PS3 fanboy who tries to insult everyones intelligence. Yes I do know the "difference" bw an ethernet port. The connection for the Cat5 cable. And an internet connection. Which could even be dial up and not even use Ethernet cable.
And how do you know how many people use cable or wireless connection for their DVD player. Or how many will access the net at all. Have you conducted a worlwide survey??
Just put together with more speculation. Microsoft own Bungie. This BS wouldn't even get approved if this site wasn't infested with Sony extremists.
Please rate the quality of the news post. "Has the contributor used the right amount of text, and is it edited according to the N4G posting guidelines."
Note: This is "not" for rating the "content" of the article at the source. This is only a technical rating for the "quality" of the news post on N4G.
--------Translation "The feedback system has "nothing" to do with whether you "like" the article ...
It seems that HD-DVD is the way to go for truly unique interactive online features. And with internet connection available on every HD-DVD players all consumers with internet access can enjoy these enhancements.
how the PC version is still arriving on schedule. It is most likely do to the game not performing well on the PS3's architecture. It is obviously not a problem with the game itself. Otherwise the PC version would be delayed also.
This is probably the best fighting game ever. I am psyched to see it finally get new artwork and updated into HD. One thing is for sure, and that is that online will be a blast.
Most underrated SF character. Zangief....Spinning Piledriver FTW.
Crimson Wolf....Nice one.
even though less than 10% of people that buy DVD's have bought into HD media...be it Bluray or HDDVD. The war will be decided by New Years..
Comedy at it's best. When either HDDVD or Bluray accounts for 51% of "total" dvd sales. Including DVD-9. Then the war will be over. Until then these articles are nothing more than PR BS.
If a console is selling the least overall. Isn't it most likely to come in 3rd place. Just like the Gamecube??
Everyone is basing their predictions off of what "could" happen. If this...If that. Why not look at things how they are now.
Pricepoint plays a huge role in console sales. The PS3 will always be the most expensive if Microsoft and Nintendo play there cards right. Do you honestly think for one second that Microsoft would ever let the PS3 ...
I didn't make the title. And according to the N4G guidelines you are "NEVER" supposed to change a title unless it doesn't make sense on N4G. Understood?? That 1s the "original" title. Stop making BS reports just bc you don't like the content of the article.
Plus you Sony Extremists leave me bad feedback on my submission. Which is also against the rules.
Feedback is for the "quality" of the post. IE enough text, picture, editing...
your post makes no sense. News is news and should be posted regardless. There are analysts news articles posted on N4G all the time. Why should this one be any different? You are responding to me and TheMart as if we wrote the article.
The PS3 is overpriced. And does have a true lack of high profile games.
I expect it will meet the same fate as the 3DO console.
Price and games catalogue are what are important to gamers. Not Bluray and the Cell processor.
I know the censorship brigade is always on the prowl. This is a legit story. I posted a story earlier that predicted good things for PS3 and it was approved instantly.

@whoever is disagreeing with me I have provided proof so I would like to know why you disagree.
"More Dumber" is that like the "most dumbestest". Why don't you learn proper grammar before you try and insult others intelligence.
