Exchange rates unfortunately mean very little when talking about the prices Canadians pay vs. the price Americans pay. The Canadian dollar may be worth more than the American one but we still pay more for almost everything up here.

This isn't really that big of news, Pioneer already has a PC Blu-Ray drive out for $238 and it can burn DVDs. That price is Canadian so in the States it's probably sub $200.

The Dev's may not be complaining about it being hard to develop for but they are defiantly complaining about the choice of hardware they chose to put in the system (ie DVD Drive, HDD not standard). The thing you fanboys (on both sides of the fence) need to realize is that no system is perfect for gaming, the sooner you realize that the better off this industry will be.
