People thought the gamepad was trying to be a tablet, which was never the intention. So yes, people failed to understand.

Putting consoles into generations is dumb anyway. I'm pretty sure that most here will not agree with me that the 9th console generation starts in March 2017 with the NX. It is entirely possible to me that if PS4 and XBOne were to not have a new console for another 5 years that those consoles would in fact be he 10th generation, along with whatever Nintendo has after the NX. There is literally no reason to lump manufacturer generations together. anymore.

I hope this is not tellingof future support from ubisoft. I will not support Ubisoft(by purchasing new, at least) on my xbone if they don't fully support the NX. I think it would be cool to have something like arkham city sith batman and catwoman. Both had different moves and weapons and different parts of the same story.
I totally agree with motion control aiming. Splatoon is incredibly awkward and imprecise to me when aiming with the right analog. I hope this scheme makes it to every shooter in the future. I might actually like shooters again.
Agreed, This has never been a huge seller. You can count on NIntendo to try something new, which is what I expect from them. Often they work, soemtimes they don't. I haven't played this game yet, but I've never played a Starfox game before. Looking forward to experiencing this without nostalgia blinding my ability to accept new ideas.
If power is all that will ever change going forward, then their may never be a need for a PS5 until games are made exclusively for the new hardware. on that note, the cycle will actually extend, nor shorten the PS4 life cycle.
