Would it be trolling if I said "get a PS3"?
Because I don't mean to troll, I really recommend you do. I've been playing MAG for months now and I'm still hooked. Granted, it's not for everyone, but if you like it you'll lose your life to it. Also, don't believe the internet hate--all these idiots have not played it. And if MAG isn't your game, I'm sure you'll find a AAA title at any time of year if you own both a 360 and PS3 (but I...
Pathetic.
Those are not games.
Also, by "console gaming", does he only mean 360? Because I saw no mention of other consoles in that BLOG (this isn't new, btw). The day that I play TETRIS on my phone longer than I play MAG, I swear to god I will hang myself in my closet. (MAG=PS3 game, maybe that's why he's playing with his phone...)
That's exactly how I feel about Capcom this gen. They used to be almighty during the PS2 era, until they turned around and spat in Sony's face.
I haven't bought a single game of theirs this gen. DMC4 wasn't even close to living up to the series' original; Lost Planet looks good in internet videos but is actually an excruciatingly average game; Bionic Commando, Dark Void, lol; and Dead Rising which was 360 exclusive in its first installment (to name a few)....
I said nothing against the Wii or its games, and even less that the Wii was somehow less fun. All I said was a FACT that the Wii hardware is inferior and that it doesn't mean that only the graphics suffer.
So don't go putting words into my mouth or twisting what I said.
The PS3 and 360's superior hardware allow them to not only have superior graphics, but also more objects on screen and better physics, among other things. People quickly dismiss it as just "better graphics", but there's a lot more to it than that, and it's the other things that are more important to gameplay.
Wanna have a laugh? Check out the difference between the 360 and Wii versions of Dead Rising--definitely not just graphics.
I come to this site to find news that I may have missed at gametrailers, screwattack, or IGN, NOT to read BLOGS.
I wouldn't care so much, except the front page is flooded with blogs and I don't feel like sifting through 5 pages of them to find the few NEWS ARTICLES on a site called NEWS 4 GAMERS.
Agreed?
@qface64
Not necessarily. The final version would be better optimized and most of the kinks in the code smoothed out. (But, admittedly, my technical knowledge is low--that's why I'm a PS3 gamer. I just pop it in and it plays!)
"A number of developers have given their support of natal, with between 70% and 80% of publishers worldwide working on a Natal based game of some kind." (From the... blog.)
Do I really need to elaborate on this?
I looked at the first screenshot and Killzone was so much better that I just laughed.
No, Raven are the virtual training guys. Valor are battle hardened soldiers, and SVER are hooligans. Get it right.
Either way, it's a game, so everyone's virtually trained.
1. If you could change, then everyone would now be in SVER because of the reason you pointed out in 2. And you can change, you just have to get to level 60 first.
2. SVER is imbalanced, but not unbeatable. I'm Valor, and I have more wins overall than losses. But yes, it's annoying as hell to get steamrolled by SVER sometimes.
3. It's because the maps are gigantic. Really, there's a lot of content, but because of the way it's setup (you only attack on two maps and def...
I'm finding there are quite a few people with mics. More wouldn't hurt, because communication is definitely key in this game, but it's not even close to silent in there.
Play it. If you get into it, you will not be disappointed.
All these reviewers have not played the game for more than a few hours, I'm certain of that. They barely even broach one of the most important aspects of MAG: the leadership system. At first, I thought like these reviewers do; "Oh, I'm one of 128 players on my team, I can't do it all by myself." But the more I lead, the more I realize that's not true. I can make a huge difference in the game, all by myself.
Being squad leader is the basic leadership role. It's extremely...
Yeah, I never get lag, but there are some issues. Sometimes I won't spawn for a while, or I won't be able to switch guns. It's rare, and forgivable, but still annoying.
Nah, statistically, it can't be the players.
With the amount of players per game and the amount of players per company, statistically we have to assume it balances out and rule out the human element. What are left are equipment and maps.
You pointed out that you've gotten whooped in defense, which would indicate an equipment superiority. I think that's the fault of that f****** DLC armor coupon we got from pre-ordering the game at gamestop/ebgames. That armor is an u...
By the way: Valor ftw! Screw sver. :p
Your comment firmly makes you a 360 fanboy. Blaming PS3 fanboys for a site's community's turning to sh!t is pathetic.
People like you who blame PS3 fanboys just don't seem to understand or remember how AWFUL the PS3 bashing was when the console was launched. It came from left, right, and center. EVERY media outlet was bashing the PS3 for NO REASON whatsoever other than propaganda and poor research.
So, naturally, PS3 fans had to fight back hard, and we did. The hate ...
Well, who's gonna write them? Gamers! So get out your rigs and start writing. Even though most of ours are way too overpowered for MS Word, they can still be used for that!
Actually, that quote is completely wrong.
That is where I thought the console industry was going with gigantic budgets needed to produce AAA titles, but then a little thing came along called the PSN Store and XBLA. There, you'll find games of all shapes and sizes, genres, and budgets.
There's nothing you can get on a phone you can't get on your console anymore--but there's A LOT you can get on your console you can't get on your phone.
