if you ever played MGO which is best "tactical shooter" ever in my opinion, socom really feels like CoD

if fallout is any king of ground for this, then i expect player sessions will be very short. not that is not good, i think longest time i played without reboot or freeze was 6 hours

cursed was the only magic that had static effect, so everyone used ToB without even basic requirements to wield it. str+cursed had around 30sl advantage against any other build as you could have magic at lowest and only needed int 18 i think. it was always coupled with second chance miracle which was also static, but you only needed ToB equipped. ...

give me 8-bit with no lag and i'll be happy. the only deal breaker with socom 4 for me will be if they use dedicated PSN servers without region boundaries. they don't use lobby system, so this is kinda logical conclusion.
some of us actually play games instead of judging pixels. i played a lot of games with crappy graphics that executed gameplay well and beat the shit out of the graphically excelent games. my favorite game is still demon's souls which is far from looking awesome.
if i'd be interested in graphics, my favorite game would be some photo album where i would masturbate on judging photo pixels.

looking good or not is not the question. no lobby system is a big minus. and if game uses same uncontrolled matchmaking as UC2, you're welcome to find one game where 1/3 of people don't lag. i can't remember one single game where i wouldn't be pitted against at least 3 people from other side of the globe. in common mp game you need to go to the bar and hope people will be there as they always separate mp. in ds mp is inside sp, so unless you pulled the cord you don't play one or another, you play both. but even more interesting is that coop and invasions can coexist at the same time too.
