I admit that I used to pirate games but after spending some time developing them I stopped and bought most of the games I can remember pirating. One thing I believe is needed is the return of demos. £40 is quite a lot of money for a lot of people and if you keep burning your customer then they might turn to piracy. Treating your customers bad with online always DRM and SecuROM and all you do is make the pirated version of the game better than the payed version without stopping piracy at ...
I would say Halo 3 deserves a place.
Then install windows on your steambox. He said it would be possible and it is on the prototype they showed earlier.
This conspiracy again. If anything the media is biased against PC.
I do agree that steam is better than PSN and Xbox Live feature wise. With PSN+ you get worse and less deals than you get with steam each month, not even counting the huge sales. You can take and share screenshots, mods and video content with its community features. After using PSN for a while on my vita I have been constantly wanting it to be more like steam although it is not a bad service itself.
What quality? They get high metascores but most are generic and linear shooters. Something PC has enough of already. I would much prefer to play more original titles such as Mount and Blade, DayZ, Kerbal Space Project. Even if they are not AAA games they all offer something that the console does not have.
I bet you do not even know anything about half the games you are calling shovel-ware
It wont in the amount of time I sink into them. Mount and Blade II tops all of the console exclusives for me. I love the original. Its another type of game you can only find on PC. All the innovative titles in the list are PC exclusives.
That PC exclusive list is huge and still missing a lot of titles. Starcraft and Survarium come to mind. Funny how people keep saying that PS3 is the best because it has the most exclusives. Also Sly Cooper is also releasing on the vita so it is not a PS3 exclusive, I will be picking it up.
That is called being insane
My storage solution is not enough for me anymore either.
500GB for programs
2TB for games (my steam folder is 1.3TB with over 200 games installed and ready to play at a click)
128GB SSD for windows and development programs
Then buy a PC. It is the only way to have it now. Or wait until the new consoles come out and hope they can handle that.
Can you tell me how they could hack an xbox account and or give me some proof. All that is needed for a DDOS is an ip address which is very easy to change so I am not sure why this guy did not just reset his router or ask his ISP to change his IP if that does not work for him. Plus I love how both fanboy groups are using this article as a way to attack either company when neither is responsible.
It wont work for them financially because they have no investment. It is not possible to really judge how well a new IP will be received. Many games have been rejected funding and gone on to sell a load of copies.
Then don't replay it for trophies
Bioshock
Metro
Starcraft 2 HOTS
Company of Heroes 2
Yum
iCEnhancer looks better than all of these shots
Well steam pretty much handles everything for you now. When you do get into trouble you can just use google. I don't understand how anyone can complain that PC Gaming is hard anymore, plenty 14 year olds doing it.
@omi25p classic case of console fan boy denial. I hear if you keep it up your console will start to up the resolution ;)
@th3n00bg4m3r That depends on your hardware.
Good luck with getting into game development, it is very tasking but a huge amount of fun. If you have not found an engine you love yet then I would suggest you try out Unity.
