ARMA 2 if you are not 15.
I think it is appropriate that steam does not do anything differently with indie games. They share the spotlight like any other game. Most of my favourite PC exclusives have been created by indie teams and have beat a lot of the AAA blockbuster games.
Yes sub hd, with jaggies is so much better than 1920x1080 dual monitors, 8 x AA, 16 X AF with high texture resolution running at 60+ fps. I develop games for PC, it is really not that hard in fact it is much easier than developing on non standard hardware like the cell dealing with limited memory and all the other problems. You just pick a target for recommended specs and you build around it. For example to take advantage of multiple cores on PC all I have to do is create a new thread and the...
Then you have people like me who do not own a PS3, only a vita. We are getting a worse deal than you guys as more than half the games we can't play.
That's just sad. How did you get so attached to a company, did Sony raise you? I own a Vita but I don't want every other console to fail because of it.
That's because games like angry birds are designed for very short period of times, making it attractive to people on the go.
Yep, I have seen much more hacking on 360 mainly because on PC all you have to say is "Admin X is hacking" and the admins can deal with it immediately.
@Hicken can you give me some solid proof instead of word of mouth? I'm interested.
The test kit and dev kits for ps3 are hard to get a hold of. With a Vita you can just download the SDK and get to work. Much easier to just buy an Ouya and hack it though.
Good luck with your course, I would recommend getting a desktop for your test environment because IDEs like Visual Studio are not too heavy so you should be able to develop on any old laptop.
yer I found that really creepy, muted the vita every time she finished a boss, what does all the screaming and 15 year old "adults" add to the game.
Yer Gravity Rush is a really good game, I could do without all the screaming though, sounds really stupid. The combat did get boring by the end but the story and world they created amazed me.
That's just marketing talk. How does one use a percentage of an engine?
I want ARMA 3, DayZ brought me to ARMA 2 and I have found I enjoy simulators over more arcade shooters, planning a massive three pronged attack on an enemy base, snipers on the towers, rocket fired into the base to get them all to flee out, heavy machine guns. A lot of people will just call this downtime as there is not much action going on but it's the best part of the game for me.
and yet steam is still doing better than Sony. Doubling profits every year for 7 years is nothing to laugh about.
The term downloadable games does not really work anymore seeing as PC is nearly completely digital and consoles are building up their digital services.
Why? Will that improve your gaming experience or are you trying to justify a purchase here.
Planetside 2
Natural Selection 2
Xcom
Guild Wars 2
Chivalry Medieval Warfare
I don't own either console but if PC did not exist I would go buy a playstation. It has a lot less exclusives than the PC but a lot more than the 360.
thanks for the laugh :)
