As a fellow technical guy you may find this interesting. Especially the multithreaded optimizations coming and how big of an effect they make on the CPU in this controlled environment. Something that will be a massive improvement on both PC and Console as they are both going from one core talking to the GPU at once to each core talking to the GPU at once.

TBH if you look at the technical side of things, it is not hard to see that DX12 will bring big gains all around. The most juicy bit being that the rendering pipeline can now be operated on by multiple threads. Will be interesting to see how / if developers take advantage of this.
And then there are the more PC sided improvements like reducing the CPU cost of draw calls.
They are not bankrupt, bankruptcy means you can not pay off your debts.
He never even said it was a bad thing and you jumped him. Chill out.

A beta product that they are selling...
And GW2 and CS:GO, plenty of F2P games focus on cosmetic items.
45 FPS is actually much much smoother than 30 FPS. For me 45 - 50 is where FPS starts to both look and feel acceptable. I run a GSync monitor so my games never have screen tear or vsync increasing latency.
I wonder if consoles will ever adopt this technology.
@Game_Face1 I am a professional software developer but I don't think that helps make me an expert graphics programmer. Software development is a huge field.
I do however understand the benefits of multi threading and also the cost implication of working with it. The level of complexity is increased by magnitudes and debugging problems can become a real pain.
Anyway, don't underestimate the number of developers on this site, I have spoken to a fair fe...
That is actually BS. You can't / shouldn't talk to an API from multiple cores if it is not built to be thread safe. You will have a whole lot of crazy happen and your game will most likely be unstable. In fact it is plain impossible before DX 12. No idea about Open GL or Sony's graphics API though the developer hinted that they would try and catch up to these changes.

The term console exclusive does not mean anything to me as I have a PS4 and PC. I play games where possible on my PC and play the awesome exclusives like Uncharted and TLOU on console.
Hopefully my 980 will be good enough for 1440p :{
@Feralkitsune Apparently the EULA says they need to announce the system requirements at least x days before release.
I took a brief skim of the EULA and couldn't see anything like that in it.
I'd not accept your gift and go and grab some lunch.
I can't see that in the EULA at all.
I saw this last night on Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 and it looked pretty fun. The stream had the game having more viewers than league of legends which is normally top of twitch.
@Oculus, I find arguing your point goes better if you don't insult the guy at the same time.
That certain look you talk about can be avoided though. It generally comes from using stock assets / lighting models etc in your game. You will find there will be games that surprise you when you see what engine they were created in.
@Killa OEM Copies are not a breach of license. Read this http://www.microsoft.com/OE...
You can even fully replace all the parts and use the same license for repair purposes (Same MOBO no longer sold)
EA made more money from PC in 2012 than PS3. http://www.computerandvideo...
Software sales for PC are mainly digital which are not reported by anyone but publishers normally.
As of 2013 PC was worth close to $900M to EA .
PC is definitely up there as an important market with the consoles.
This made me laugh, it's always funny how over hyped exclusive games are.
