So does the oculus rift, which is what that is based on.
I hope they change the specs to at least 1440p before launch as 1080p looks really pixelated up close according to people who have used the dev kit 2 and oculus.
You can see an example of the effect of resolution up close

Isn't the whole point of this to stream games / music / TV? I don't think its main selling point is supposed to be android games.
It looks like a great device for people who want to stream their games but I'm not sure who that audience is.
I have a PC, PS4 and Xbone and I play all multiplats on PC and it's own exclusives. I have the consoles for exclusives although nothing really interests me until fall this year. Uncharted 4 and Halo 5.
Valve does not even allow indie devs to crowd fund. You just buy a game before it releases and can play it before hand. It is not a donation.
@sklorbit Not even close, excessive blur in games started last gen as an attempt to hide a lack of AA and low quality textures. It has made multiple games unplayable for me as it is not a natural effect and after about 30 mins will in some cases make me feel sick.
I can't it burns my eyes on console, so much blur it is as if somebody rubbed butter over my eyes.

And that is not the end of it, there is also motion blur on top of that when you move the camera.
Maybe the 360 version looks better but that plus dumb upscaling (I'm gaming on a monitor) to 1080p made that game unplayable fo...
Dirt 3 was good fun
I don't think they should get over it, but I also don't think it is down right broken. That wait time is identical to what I saw in my 3 whole games of MP.
I bought an Xbox one bundle which came with this last week.
I spent 17 hours with friends playing the collection's campaigns on the couch and have now racked up more than a days playtime to complete all of them which is what I wanted from it coming in. I did dabble in multiplayer and it takes about 5 mins to find a game but it does find them.
I'm not really a console multiplayer guy because none of my friends game on consoles but I can understand the...
How the heck would it do that? Domain name servers just translate domains to IPs which I guess will then be cached locally on the console (as it is done with PC) making it a one time operation (at least for a while)
Owned a PS4 for a while and it is not really an exclusive but I enjoyed Destiny. I bought an Xbox One last week and have been enjoying Forza and the MCC. Neither console really has a big library of must play games but I am hoping that Uncharted 4 and Halo 5 will be the next big ones for me.
I have a 980 and a ROG Swift 1440p 144hz monitor. They compliment each other perfectly.
I think this kind of thing could be fixed by giving devs (I'm guessing this is not already there) a flag in the API to tell if a current session is a shared session. Then disable critical options like this. Add an option to turn the safety mode off and everyone is happy.
I never understood that argument. Other people are not playing at the same settings as you so take that!
I game on a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor and I think it is much better than a TV.
Games running DX11 will not see any improvements
It would probably be easier for them to understand that PS4 fans don't care if they were not constantly doing the same to the fans of the systems that perform worse than the PS4.
In short, everyone likes measuring their dicks when they are on top.
So a PC game gets ported to playstation and now it is a playstation game? Why do console gamers keep on claiming that games which are also on PC are exclusives for their console. When it comes to Xbox will it be an Xbox game?
The oculus rift also uses OLED. They said that 1080p was not good enough for a consumer release. It causes the pixelation effect displayed in my above link which can cause motion sickness.
The math behind it has the pixelation being a very noticeable issue till you hit 8K per eye at that range though so it is all compromise at this stage.
