I haven't been following it so looking forward to seeing it for the first time. I remember playing the old games and enjoying them.
If it ends up being integral to the experience I am all for it. I imagine they want you to be on the couch together so betraying your friend to achieve your characters goals becomes more interesting. Or something of that nature.
I'm a PC gamer and it is one of the things I love most about the platform. I will never ever buy multiplatform games on consoles, even if the pro consoles start performing better than my PC until BC is guaranteed. I just use my consoles (PS4, Xbone, Switch) for exclusives and this is a big part of it.
I guess you will find the people who care most about this already moved to PC.
And the ps4 reveal where they tried to tell us that the console was a super computer lol. Definitely more interested in the games too.
It does show that statistics can be framed to send a certain message. Even if both are mostly accurate, this sends a positive message compared to the negativity of the other day.
PC gets more games 1 to 3 years ahead of consoles than the other way around. Most of the ps4 indie games are old PC games where as nearly all multiplatform games release on PC and console simultaneously. How many can you name that came out a year later on PC this gen?
Console games often perform worse than bad PC ports and don't support 120hz either. How many bad ports bring a PC gamer down to 30fps vs how many games always run at that or less on console.
As a PC gamer first and foremost I really struggle to understand how anyone could not want backwards compatibility. I know PC gamers are different when it comes to old games. We tend to stick to classics in a way that is not seen on consoles (World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Counter Strike all tend to have more players than new releases for example) but what do you do when you want to play KOTOR through for the 10th time. I'm imagining having to dust out the computer I played it on first and...
Sure, 90% off and I get to keep my game indefinitely, plus my purchase supports the developer. It's just new copies are no longer being made to new customers. I can still request a copy of the files from steam. Where as for physical, new copies are no longer being made for anyone. The developer is no longer making anything on sales of the pre-owned copies. How is that better?
Some people will have issues and I recommend that gamers don't choose a PC unless they are willing to sort out issues potentially happening every now and then. Me personally, I can't remember the last game I had major issues with and this game performs wonderfully, I'm 9 hours in and it has maintained 1440p / 165fps. I also can't remember too many new AAA releases that allowed me to max out my monitor.
Agreed, as a reviewer you should share your personal experience. That's what a review is but at the same time doing a little research to see if your colleagues or other gamers are experiencing the issue would be very useful for anyone looking to pick up the game. So far the game has never crashed for me and my saves are fine. It runs very smoothly at 1440p 165 fps.
I've only had one weird bug where I lost sound until I restarted my PC which a few others on the Steam...
If I used this kind of language while representing my company I expect to be terminated immediately and possibly sued. It's not professional regardless of whether or not you think it is racist and reflects badly on the company.
There are but I imagine most won't want to post any comments here as it definitely doesn't look like a place where such opinions are the norm. They probably just see the comments as toxic sludge and just use the site to find gaming news.
I enjoyed both but I can't put one above the other. I loved them both so much. The PVP in Bloodborne was worse in my opinion.
Just went through the 90 day one ( http://www.metacritic.com/b... ) looking for exclusive games that scored 80 or higher.
PS4: 6
PC: 5
Xbone: 0
I actually agree with him on the notifications / user interface side. I miss the days when consoles were less complex than PCs, you just plugged it in and played. Even the Switch isn't like this today, although they system updates much faster than my PS4 which is nice.
The steps are probably pretty similar PC / Pro consoles -> original consoles -> switch. The pro consoles probably caused as much pain as the Switch will.
Don't take this the wrong way... but I don't understand why people pre-order stuff. Maybe it's because I am mostly digital now but I always wait for the reviewers who share the same opinions as me to review what I am looking at buying and then try and make an informed purchase from that. Even then I get burned more often than I would like.
And the support from Sony, Sony don't even stock it in the UK anymore. Can't even get it new on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/So...
My Vita recently died and I can't buy a new one and the repair costs pretty much the same as a new one but you end up with a refurb :/
Aye I'm sitting on the outside and have found myself defending it. Not sure why people are attacking it so much, either way too much time on their hands, jealousy, or in doing so you enter into an amazing sweepstake. If it's the latter can you guys let me know so I can enter :P ?
@butchertroll Games are games. Are they automatically unworthy unless less people get to play them? As a PC Gamer I enjoyed the show but then again I don't care about the console war.
