Not true at all. I the 1st quater is slow for gaming, but N4G has been reaching the last few weeks. The effort with these post is lacking...need something to really talk about. PS3 are not having Blu-Ray to firmware update failure issues. There is only one systems with high failure rates. (I know this company is working on the issue, but I just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page.)

Everyone fibs the numbers a little. I'm a PS3 gamer, but do realize that MS did well with Modern Warfare 2...making alate run in 2009. In the end, doesn't matter what they sold. All that matters is the revenue. Nintendo is leading the "Big 2" in sales thsi gen, BUT...they are not making as much money as them. (People tend to over look that!) Nintendo needs to sel two Wii's to match the cost/benifit of either Sony of MS. Als, NIntendo games are cheaper to make/sale.

Halo is a household name in games, and needs no hype.
MS really doesn't have to talk about this anymore, most 360 fans have units for this game alone. We need some 2010 hype....why not Halo: Reach and God of War 3?

However, I prefer COD 4: Modern Warfare. The main reason is because of the set kill streaks, engaging story/campaign (although many feel like MW2 has a better one...but I don't see it), and weapons/perks system was much more simplified. Both games look great, and I am equally excited for them. I only have a PS3 now, so My pick is limited to Heavy Rain. If I had a 360, then I would get Alan Wake of course. Just like Halo, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has it's fans. (And haters) I myself do not own MW2, but did love COD4.
Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 (Pretty much the MP...NOT THE ARBITER angle) were both great games, but we have all seen sequels make big bucks off of past success. THE XBOX 360 HAS ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. (At least in the near future) I will continue to say this, until MS upgrades: DVD-9 is inferior and allows the excuse for DLC. (By limiting game developers in terms of space for the TOTAL game experience, and true HD audio/video.)
MS is fully aware of this issues, but seem to be sitting on something. (Maybe Halo's/Gear's loyal fanbase to buy, benefit/cost ratio, or the next MS game system.) No hate needed to state the truth......
However, this does not mean that it is a "Newbie" game. Infinity Ward has obviously tailored MW2 after Halo. It's cool though, Halo has it's fans. I am not a fan of the KillStreaks, Camping, and people crying over kills....so I simply choose not to play it. (COD4, Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2 are my favorite.) NOt everyone is going to like the same game, which is shy there are not only multiple systems, but game genres as well.
It's hard to see any improvments in graphics here. I know the "Fannies" will come out to crack jokes, but this isn't fair. 'm sure Sony, Wii, and PC fans will have more than enough time to "Hate", when the time is right. (Now really isn't one of those times.)

If all of the gaming community wanted DLC stuff, they would just need to pay for it. I'm not a MS hater, but the fact is this: MS knew that some sort HD DVD device was inevitable and necessary, to push "real" HD gaming. (I know I don't work for them, but you don't have to live on video game websites to understand evolution of electronics, because it's all around us.) MS was approached for exclusive content. It was shown that they turned away because the payout was not lucrative enough for them. the only games that are targeted are the mega triple A titles. DICE even confirmed that MS jumped to them at first, but then decided that Modern Warfare 2 was much better for them. (That is actually some of the "BEEF" between IW and DICE. DICE makes fun of IW all the time, commenting on how IW was stealing a lot of their ideas for MW2.)
There's really no sense of banging on Microsoft about this anymore. It's become quite obvious that the practice of buying up exclusive content is how they want to beat out the competition. MS is known for it's software, but want to try their hand at video game stuff. The name of the game (In bussiness) is to make money, in the most efficient, dominating way possible.

Just because MS and Bungie are milking the Halo series, doesn't mean that the game is trash. I fall in line with the hate crowd at times...mainly because Halo seems to be a annual event, rather than a much improved and evolving story/game.

I went to my local Best Buy (Ann Arbor, MI), to by Killzone 2...and it was sold out. Does anyone have number on how it's selling right now? I just want to know because I have heard on here that people are not playing hat game online anymore. (It looks awesome, but I want to make sure that people are on PSN laying it.) I totaly agree with you on that. Man, I had 5 Xbox 360's...5 OF THEM!! (Sold the last one to my cousin, had RROD in 3, and E7 in the 4th one) I decided to get a PS3 and bought Killzone 2, MGS4, and Uncharted 2.....and never looked back. 360 is a great product, but BLU RAY plus games, has no equal this generation.
I'm not a fan of Modern Warfare 2 nor do I understand it's domminance either. Not to be a hater, but for me, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2,COD4: Modern Warfare 1, and and world at War, are much better.
This game is cool to, but I'm not into the Halo type of gameplay...which is what IW was shooting for wtih this game. (IMO) I won't comment on KIll Streaks, camping, or perk system...just talking about the complete package of this game. (OVER HYPE)
