ALSO, it's fair to say that MAG is a one of a kind game. The PS3 is running a game that currently is not an option on either competing consoles or the PC. (OF COURSE THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE PS3 IS THE BEST CHOICE, JUST TRYING TO GET TO MY POINT.) I believed that the reviews would be around the 7.5 to 8.5 range, because of the accomplishments of this title.
I know opinions vary, and instantly...people will argue about Halo, Killzone 2, and Modern Warfare 2 type of games...HOW...
No disrespect to IGN, but I prefer Gamtrailers.com, 1UP, and Cheat CC reviews more than any other site. The reason being is simple: these three sites give way more information to why they score this way.

For me, it's Heave Rain. I don't care what the reviews are looking like....I am buying this on day one. (Will worry about the gamble later) People buy games like Halo, Gears, Final Fantasy, and Call of Duty, banking on the name. Star Wars: KOTOR, and both Mass Effect 1 & 2, have received rave reviews. (Although I haven't played it, Mass Effect 2 is getting GOTY talk, and I would love to play .) I was not a fan of Modern Warfare 2. However, this game will never be exposed...because Infinity Ward created a multi-million dollar profit for Activision and gamers. Could future games push this off Xbl/PSN...sure. But, look at how many copies this game not only sold, but will sell with future installments. To say which game is the best looking is a matter of each individuals standard and definition of mind blowing. For me, I would say Crysis 2 is the ONLY game worthy of this. I say that because Crysis 1 is already mind blowing to me, and that games looks better than any console game out today. Their total sales are not equal to either Sony or Microsoft game systems/accessories. 55 million Wii's financially do not up with 32 million 360's and 27 million PS3's. Games also cost more on the 360 and PS3, along with online & DLC. I respectfully disagree with you on the marketing thing. Eventhough Sony has their hands in so many other things, the hype for their games are there....people just need to buy them. I think a lot of gamers/people (Especially here in American) have reached what I call the "Sony Privilege" stage..whereas it's somehow Playstation gamers birth right to have everything free and so much to choose from. Uncharted 2 got "Hela-Hype" and the sales hasn't even hit 3 million. Sony is hyping their games...(Especially the exclusives), but the PS3 support isn't quite there. I'm not doubting the Mass Effect popularity, but where are these numbers coming from? Other than Halo, Mario Kart Wii, and Wii Play, I haven't heard of many games selling 2 million in just 1 week. Why waste time comparing multiplats? Unless developers are going to use the maximum of the consloes & PC, the games will look simular most times. If everything was made to push each gaming device, someone would be very nervous about sales. (You know who you are!)
