Playstation 2 was my favorite, because it allowed me to still play my old ps1 games (with metal gear solid 1 being my all time favorite), and was home to fantastic titles like god of war, mgs2-3, marvel vs capcom 2, onimusha, and several games that heavily influenced my artistic sensibilities and passions. There were things to love about all consoles, but the Playstation 2 was my defacto console of choice due to how influential it was.

Very well said. I'm sure there are those who are tired of seeing men, or women portrayed as one type, but there's a pretty extensive variety out there now, and the medium is continuing to grow and progress. I'm all for more variety, but in doing so, we shouldn't stop seeing sexy now should we? :)

Yeah, pretty much! Regardless of what they're calling these things, these are new consoles, not just design revisions.

@nyxus, it's basically a backwards compatible PS5 if you think in terms of basics on it. With slim models, there are very incremental upgrades to the manufacturing process, smaller chips, more efficient power usage, and sometimes bigger hard drives. What this seems like based on the rumors for Neo, is that it's going to be able to push games further through both graphics and cpu power. Those in an essence are all the things that make a new console, a new generation of said console. ...

You don't think the Neo will also be a new console? I mean, it'll be pushing out higher quality visuals as an upgrade from the PS4. Isn't that essentially what a PS5 would be?

I strongly feel that sexier men in gaming would help alleviate the issue of things feeling one sided, but I don't think for a second we should stop incorporating sexy female characters either. No reason we can't have more of both I say. The whole "spread love, not war" thing applies here too lol

I'm with you on that. It's important that we look at this objectively

I agree with much of what you said. I gathered that's what she was alluding to in her paper. I have a hard time believing that "deleted tweet" came from her, considering her thoughtful reflections on the differences in culture. Doesn't seem to add up.

I think it's important, like she said, that we don't point fingers at any particular group and look at the holistic situation. Seems to me she was let go because of her other job, whatever that is, des...

In the interest of trying to be neutral and not jumping to conclusions, Is there any possibility suggesting that deleted tweet was added either by someone who hacked her account, or as a false link?

And there we have another issue with review scores. The faster most publications drop the scores, the faster people will only pay attention to the words and criticisms people make about said game, and then decide for themselves whether or not they should purchase.

Fair enough. I'm pretty excited for the roster, and it'll only expand from here, but I agree, it's much less than some other games. I do like that the characters feel different from each other though!

I'm with you on the clipping, I wish less games had it, but it's not as noticeable as it is on some games out there.

@XtraTrstrL Oh man, I imagine the performance will get ironed out before it releases. I remember playing and experiencing slowdown in training because it was looking for a match a few betas ago, so that for sure is an annoying issue. Most of my online interactions have been pretty smooth, but there will be those cases of it being slow with bad connections for sure!

I do think that Ken's hair for example looks like bananas vs characters like Chun, Birdie, or Vega even, lol...

I haven't experienced any slowdown aside from online lag, and we've only really played the beta. I've for sure seen low res background elements on earlier builds, but I can't say I've seen any real issues with the background in the later builds. Perhaps you're referring to earlier footage and/or gameplay?

Gotta love Steam sales, though the consoles are starting to push some interesting deals out too! Still, Steam has been doing it well for so long.

That's a shame, you should keep reading, I think you'll be surprised by what preceeds that sentence. I make comments about how it may put some people off (we live in very sensitive times) but I argue that sexualization isn't necessarily specific to any 1 gender.

If the excitement we're seeing around the game is anything to go by, you just may be correct!

Not surprised at all that it didn't universally get GOTY, despite being a really good game. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it, but it does have some pitfalls (heh) that I think most people, when considering their top choice, can't mentally overcome.

It's certainly not a game for everyone, though I do hope that most people get a chance to try it out. And I know I'll get a lot of s**t for this, but I do wish they delivered the narrative in a more cohesive fashion....

Absolutely agree. I throughly enjoyed playing all of the above. Seriously, so many hours logged. But the end product speaks for itself! And the devs have proved they care about the people who support their games.

My biggest thing with Fallout 4 was its illusion of player choice making a difference in the world. There were some instances where this was the case, but most of the time, even the conversations went the exact same way regardless of what you say to characters. In Witcher 3, you really were deciding between huge changes. The game has like over 20 possible endings lol.

I didn't play Xenoblade, but heard good things about it. Just Cause 3 is more or less all about the fun ...
