Metacritic is a stupid base for argument, and review scores don't tell the whole picture of the value of an experience. Saying a game is an "86 rather than a 92" makes you sound petty. RE2 is phenomenal, both as a self aware love letter to fans of the series, but also as a technical marvel. But BEYOND that, claiming Nintendo "ruins third party franchises like Bayonetta 2" is ridiculous, especially when you consider what people have noted about the sequel to an already ...
The bigger issue was HOW they released it, not WHERE they released it. No story or arcade mode, lackluster options and modes, grindy fight money system, and higher input latency.
And that's just it- Many of the people who buy sports games ONLY buy one of those games per year, so spending extra for stuff they should have on disk isn't as big of a deal to them as it is for other gamers who see the bigger picture outside of just one game.
You gotta remember though, that people change over the course of 10+ years. I'm with you on not being able to change it willy-nilly all the time, but the option to change it is very much welcome, especially for people who were teenagers at the time of making their account, and are well into their adulthood now.

The secret characters are more so an issue with marketing and internet saturation, than with the actual game. I agree, the age of surprises is lost on us, but most of that is by our own choice. We need to stop spoiling ourselves with too much info on games. One of the reasons I don't like watching trailers for movies especially, but for games too, is that they give way too much away.

DICE as a whole is making a game every year, but they have several studios. While it would be nice if all studios were working on one game together, it's a big company, and so they afforded themselves the flexibility of multiple studios working on different projects.
That said, they needed more time before this was out and ready. The PR plunders, specifically from EA CEO haven't helped either

I agree though, it isn't a big deal considering they're trying to avoid running into any issues. Although, I also wasn't a fan of nerfing "Snake's cakes." The point there-in, was that they were a non issue to begin with, it doesn't need to be problematic to show a small hint of skin on her legs, if that makes sense.
The west has shown time and time again just how up-tight they are about showing skin, regardless of our "comfort" with violence. Again, I don't agree with the sentiment that we should be "protecting our kids from legs and cleavage" but clearly those responsible for the ratings do.

It's rated E, and they want to keep it that way. I'm typically against censoring out any form of lewd, but I'm not surprised they went this direction. Likely to appease the "E" rating so they don't run into issues selling their game as intended.
From what I understand, they served what they believed to be in the interest of the democratic party for power, but were never an actual part of it.
I think her new look is great, but I can't deny how awesome this looks too. Kudos to the artist who put this together, nice to have these options.
The issue is more-so that Spiderman is a juggernaut of an IP, and any games coming out near it will get dwarfed in comparison. Playing through Tomb Raider now, tells me that it's a fantastic game that came out at a really, REALLY busy time.
I care. I care a lot- It's stupid at this point, especially considering the install base. They aren't really going to be winning that many more people over third party multi-platform games, and have the exclusives to warrant purchasing a ps4 instead of, or in addition to, an xbox or switch.
Maybe they're thinking about long term ramifications for doing it? I don't know, it's a stupid move imo in regards to "for the players."
I agree with you, but also, I ain't mad at it.
I'll use the example of many lewd games out there. They are lewd for the sake of porn, but forget to also be a game. I'd like to see more lewd/full on porn games actually make an effort to implement great game design. It may take a while to get there, as resources and easier ways of creating games becomes available.
Why they're prioritizing these two characters over making improvements to the game, progression, online matchmaking and lobby system, or even other characters is beyond me. Mechanically, and stylistically, this game is superb. They could make this game really awesome.
Further more, we've already had games, Battlefield games at that, that focused more on authenticity. Why would we basically need ANOTHER exact remake of WW2? Do something different with it. And I'm pretty sure no one wants jetpack futuristic battlefield right now, we have Star wars to fill that void, once they get their ish together.

You could be kept busy by any number of things, like your job giving you 4 times more work than usual- Doesn't mean it's what you want. If you're not really interested in the other 7 offerings, the point still stands— Sure, you can give it a try, but the point I tried to make was that to make it more enticing for PC players they may want to consider having more available to them.
