To be fair, it released on two platforms prior. You'd think given the ample time between releases that these kinds of bugs would be resolved by now.
Most people don't realize how bad of a track record Bethesda has when it comes to this.
IIRC, Microsoft bought Bethesda while they were already in development of Starfield, which was slated to release on PS5 to begin with, only to make it exclusive, and now come full circle to releasing on PS5. To MS's credit, they didn't know this gen was gonna go down like this, but I'm pretty curious overall how much sense it really made to buy both Bethesda and Activision if the sentiment is their games should be playable everywhere.
That was a LOT of money to...
The original Metal Gear 1 and 2.
I could play another witcher 3, baldurs gate 3, level of depth easily.
Fans are tired of poorly paced, sloppily designed/implemented 100 hour long games. I enjoyed Starfield for what it was, but the length of it was the least of its worries.
As it should. Doubling the framerate to 60fps as an option, even if it looks worse, is better than not having the option at all.
I don't necessarily agree with this. There was a LOT of pushback on the portal prior to release, and LOTS of pushback on Sony requiring PSN for PC games (which I adamantly oppose, there are a lot of places that still don't have access to PSN but do have access to Steam. Requiring it is ridiculous.) Even pushback to their own subscription service that's competing with Gamepass. I chose a playstation every day of the week over Xbox, but to say PSN Premium and Gamepass are equivalent...
Myself included, I thought it would flop as a stream only device that was specific to the PS platform. Also, not sure what the downvotes are for. I guess others weren't surprised it did well?
I'm honestly surprised at how popular this has become.
The game honestly had potential. I had fun during the beta, but not enough to shell out money for it. If the TTK was lower and the healing was better (and if the character designs were a little more exciting for certain characters) I could see this doing well.
Unfortunate but expected.
i'll say this- Considering this is an optional upgrade, rather than a new generation, it's not likely to affect the ecosystem at large overall. BUT, this is way too expensive for the average consumer. It makes more sense for most people to just wait for the "next gen" rather than purchasing this. Honestly, they're pretty wild for asking this much, but people went out and bought the apple vision pro, soooo....
But will it have i-frames for dodging? It's literally all I ask of them :(
Who would've guessed that the one piece of tech that cost just as much as a PS5 that's now way less expensive AND also works on PC would finally get sales? I remember saying it was dead on arrival when this was first launching if it didn't have PC support or cost less than the PS5, and there were so many downvotes lol. I'm honestly glad to see them reverse course on both of these points.
I will be picking one up asap. Was sold out last time I checked >_&l...
The mental gymnastics they do to justify hating the LGBTQ community is wild.
I get where you're coming from, and agree that if it's just to install the game, you kinda NEED internet to install any game on PC, but for consoles you don't and shouldn't. Lemme explain.
I spent a vacation in the Rocky Mountains in TN, and the internet services AND cell reception there were both HORRIBLE. I couldn't even upload a video, it just kept failing, and downloading basic videos took sometimes a whole day. We take it for granted, but there are ...
AI is SUPPOSED to be used as a tool, not a replacement. It's designed to do two important things artists can take advantage of immediately.
- Make the ideation/reference imaging process much quicker and easier (basically using it as a google search)
- Make mundane and time consuming tasks faster and easier so more time is spent on creation.
Unfortunately, what many have done is used it as a way to replace rather than supplement.
@poppatron yes, I wasn't implying the PSVR2 games became popular or well supported, only that Sony was considering the PC market an afterthought. I imagine more people will want to buy this when it works with PC. I know I will, as I play on both.
This is the most incel fake outrage sad shit I've seen all morning.
Congrats to making yourself look like an absolute tool while inexcusably and unnecessarily attacking the LGBTQ community.
On topic, congrats to Insomniac. Amazing game, amazing experience, and makes me hopeful for the new Wolverine Game. Would love to also see a Storm or Captain Marvel game.
Sony's chatbot is notoriously garbage at providing even basic information and functioning properly. I wouldn't take anything it says seriously.
That said, if this is true, this is serious af. Major L for gamers across the board.
