I'd love the reason for this is that Microsoft bought the IP from Sega and that Obsidian will be making a sequel, but the realistic reason is most likely because Microsoft bought Obsidian and Sega doesn't want to work with Microsoft.
I feel like DontNod would be one Microsoft would want to own because of Game Pass. If Microsoft wants Japanese developers Koei Tecmo could be an interesting choice, but I see more Vanillaware, Cave, Treasure and Mistwalker over a giant company.
I'd like to see a remake of the original games and it come to the consoles.
Instead of having it take place in a different universe, why not just have it tell the story of a different cast of characters, that are in a different part of the world Instead?
As a blue collar worker I can understand why people want to unionize the gaming industry, but I also can understand why it could be bad too. So trying to find that happy medium where the workers get treated better, get better benefits and don't lose their jobs can be a difficult one.
Without going into my job I've unfortunately have seen the bad side of unionization and that being more automation and the job being sent over seas. So again I say there has to be a be...
A John Wick game. Make it like the Max Payne games with bullet time and you'll have a winner.
I'll always take longer single player over adding multiplayer. I know some people are into multiplayer games, but for me personally I don't want or need multiplayer added to single player games.
If Google wanted to make a real console system with a disc drive, but without one they won't ever be a threat. Plus they'd need exclusive games and Android games won't do anything for gamers. So I doubt Microsoft has to worry about Google and their no exclusive games.
I'd personally prefer no multiplayer, because then you know more went into making a great game and the game would be longer too.
A new Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia are the only games I want from Ubisoft, but they continue to not make them and that is infuriating.
The world of Too Humans is an interesting one, where the gods have technology and that makes them gods. It would be cool to see the universe again, but this time as an action RPG. I think inXile could be a great fit for bringing back the IP.
If this does well I hope the next game Microsoft brings back is Freelancer. The space SIM genre is one series Microsoft needs.
Hopefully Microsoft will make a third game now. Double Fine working with Rare on the game would be Awesome.
This is huge news and hopefully a good sign that the other Panzer Dragoon games and Saga will get remade next.
I know Platinum and Microsoft were working on Scalebound, so if Microsoft bought them hopefully it could Finally come out. Falcom and Mistwalker would be good RPG companies to buy.
Seeing as Konami doesn't make video games anymore I possibly could see Konami selling their video game studios to Microsoft. Though personally I'd prefer to see Tecmo Koei for their Atelier games and Ninja Gaiden.
Vanillaware and Treasure would be great for 2d style g...
If this was true Microsoft would have announced they bought more than just one new developer in Double Fine at E3. I'd say MS Needs at least four more game studios. If they bought a publisher like Capcom or ZeniMax then that would work too. Another idea would be if The Coalition and 343 could work on two games instead of just one with Gears of War and Halo.
Commander Keen is back, but it is a mobile game instead of a PC/console game, so I'm still waiting for Commander Keen to return.
I really hope a new Commander Keen will be shown. I know the next Elder Scrolls won't be shown, but hopefully Morrowind can get a remake while we wait for the next one in the series.
Very disappointed I watched the Microsoft E3 press conference, because it was just CGI trailers. Even Gears 5 that comes out in September was a CGI trailer instead of gameplay.
The best thing out of it was Double Fine being bought, but Microsoft NEEDS more first party studios and hopefully for E3 2020 they buy at least four more, because MS Needs all the more games they can get on the Xbox platform.
If that is true, I'm really happy and excited, because there is huge potential for that series.
