there are many more reasons why it is good for the industry. can't wait for the day when you buy games digitally and you are able to play them across all consoles. i don't see why i have to buy a game twice if i feel like playing it on a different platform. if i bought skyrim on ps3 why should i buy it again to play it on the pc or 360 especially since they fucked up the ps3 version so bad. in a few weeks a get my pc then everything i do will be digital.
maybe that's because the price has also gotten cheaper and cheaper? i don't know why you are surprised, did you expect it to be covered in gold and diamonds? ofcourse it looks cheaper that's because it IS cheaper that doesn't mean it looks ugly.

i agree no point getting a console next gen if they cost under 500$ i can't see how they can release a strong competitive piece of hardware for that price even if they sell it at a loss which is usually the case. if PC's can out preform consoles next gen then gaming will be held back yet another generation and at a price point of 500$ (assuming that is true) that is likely to be the case.

PC box art is irrelevant when most people buy the game digitally but i agree the green in the xbox cover just kills the style the picture is presented at. i hope they get rid of it come next gen ive always hated the green game box

@InMyOpinion the steambox is said to have similar specs to the Xi7 its only natural that it will also have a matching price tag unless ofcourse they cut the price and are willing to bet on the assumption that people who use the steambox will also use steam which is harder to do on an open system. the ps3 for example was sold at a significant loss but they can do that because everyone who buys a ps3 will atleast buy one game to go with it

the article is not trying to have a go at apple as the title may seem to suggest no need to get defensive if anything it is informative as it brings to light a console i certainly haven't heard of before. another interesting point that was mad was that not all products at CES take off which makes me wonder what tech at CES will we hear more of in the future
yeah it seems that you encounter more buggs on hardcore than you do on normal my first play through was playable the second wasn't it got to a point where i gave up

the steam box is essentially a pc. upgrading it will also be as expensive as upgrading a pc. everything about the steambox is similar to a pc apart from its size. the only time that isnt the case is if valve decide to cut the price and makes a loss everytime someone buys the steambox in the hope that they will make that money back from steam. otherwise you are better off buying a pc because the parts are more common and you can find anything you need from any electronics sto...

ah yes dragons dogma indeed i haven't had the chance to play it didn't even realise it was made by capcom. well i hear it was a good game, i wish capcom would create more new IP's rather than going round ruining old ones *cough* dmc *cough*
yeah its fine if they rip off uncharted but atleast make a good game out of it. it would be better if they improve upon it because thats what brings about progress. as long as they don't make a worse or half arsed game they should be fine. the story is what will set them apart i think.
