good point. its never good to buy a next gen console early anyways also there is ofcourse the "steambox" we need to put in the equations that is a 4th console. i am likely to get a pc and use that for gaming in the next 4 years untill enough good exclusives arrive. i wonder if gaikai means sony games on pc, that would make me happy
i don't think it will be profitable to do things that way, trying to support two consoles at once won't work out well and content will be weak as a result. besides i'm in no hurry, quality games are still being released next year. games that are as good as any we are gonna get for the next 2 years even if new consoles were to be released.
i agree with @millzy102 you made a similar comment on a similar article. if you want power then you are wasting your time waiting for next gen a decent pc will handle all you pc related stuff,all your gaming,all your media and entertainment much better than any console and is available right now and has been available for years. if you are buying a console for power then i think you are buying it for the wrong reason

i would pay the same price that i did for journey just for the soundtrack (that has been nominated for grammy's i may add) and so what if it is only 2 hours, ive had more fun playing journey than i did playing many other AAA games that got high praise and were up for awards.

yeah i don't agree with it not one bit. no wonder there are so many kids on xbox live. but in all honesty i don't blame the developer or MS i think after all its the parents responsibility to comply with the age rating on games. just more predatory marketing from MS the likes of which we have come to expect.
i think its great that all forms of entertainment and arts are recognised for what they are. a good soundtrack is a good soundtrack and deserves recognition no matter what form it is displayed in even if it was a cartoon. i don't think this will have any affect on the gaming industry, if anything it would encourage developers to create good games which journey was
agreed i was going to say exactly that. the exclusives sony has put out have been of high quality, they have a strong lineup going in to next gen. and its not just the same exclusives recycled,reused and abused like the halo,gears and forza its new IP's that have really impressed me an area in which the xbox has been lacking. so regardless of how powerful either consoles are going to be i will wait to see which consoles have a decent set of games that i am interested in.

agreed, a difficulty level selection will completely unbalance the game. there are many thing you can do to make the game easier by exploring, leveling up and using items to your advantage. i don't want to be quick to judge as there is still a long way to go for this game until release but i can understand why alot of fans are embracing themselves for the worst. i hope they listen to their fan base to avoid doing to DS2 what capcom did to DMC.
