microsoft got it backwards the TV stuff should have been talked about at E3 because lets be honest the only people who would turn up and watch a livestream late at night for your conference are gamers the mainstream audience and bro-dude demographic the XBOne is aiming at will only find out about the XBone later and when they search it on the internet there will be alot of gamer backlash and doom articles there to greet them. also the awkward timing of the conference didn't help April was...
the point he's making is that because used games on pc are blocked, services like steam can sell AAA games at crazy 75% to 90% off during sales at ridiculously low prices because the devs will still get a cut from that whereas with used games they get nothing and retailers sell pre-owned games at high prices for their own profit
people need to realise that it is the publishers who are calling for DRM not sony or microsoft also why are people sending no drm tweets to sony when they have already said time and time again that you can use your console offline and you can play used games on it. DRM cannot be implemented if the console isn't required to connect to the internet always or at regular intervals without the use of technology that hasn't been developed yet. all this does is give sony more positive PR whe...
wow, the sorry sate of "gamers" these days you are more excited about £20 pre-order sales than you are for games.
@loulou
sony have spoken about making ps3,p2,p1 games available via gaikai now i know none of that is actually happening at the moment and that they are working towards that, there is still a possibility of playing your ps3 games on a ps4 albeit with a likely fee (and that by the time that is possible it will probably be irrelevant). but i guess your right no BS for either
i wasn't at first but now i am much more excited about destiny
the difference is the WiiU has already been Released and despite having alot of hype from the media didn't do too well sales wise whereas the xbone has yet to be released, has yet to even have many of its details confirmed amidst contradicting reports and isn't exactly having the best exposure at the moment. i do agree though silly article nintendo are more than capable of releasing good console they just need to rethink the way they do things. as for the xbox i'm starting to wond...
yeah Logitech G27 is the way to go. i think they are stopping production for all console peripherals http://www.gamesindustry.bi... i wonder if G27 counts aswell because if it does you should hold on to it
i think its the same situation for the 360 and XBone as it is for the ps3 and ps4 it just wasn't possible without having to incorporate parts from the old console into the new one increasing cost and everything else. its worse for XBone because it being sold to gamers as an "all-in-one" system and the "hub of your livingroom entertainment" apart from controlling your TV it doesn't appear that the XBone can control anything else. if it can't control the 360 then...
no, we have yet to know if the TV service will even work outside the US according to this http://www.vg247.com/2013/0... it won't support other countries at launch. if it does fine uk,us,Australia maybe i can see that working for them slightly but what about europe,middle east and asia? the likelihood of the TV service functioning in Japan for exam...
only thing microsoft did to skype since they bought it is add Advertisements
not really even's pc's don't need fans that big. MS just wanted to eliminate any chance of over heating and they wanted to do that silently. the bigger the fan the less RPM's it needs to cool the cpu the less noise it makes. so there's a positive the next xbox is likely to be very silent
simples, the money i would spend on the ps4 i would spend on a graphics card for my pc. again i enjoy playing games i don't to buy every games platform that exists to do so.
if they do have mmo's on ps4 i wonder what business model they will adopt i'm hoping for the pay once for the game like guild wars as opposed to monthly subscriptions. i also wonder how bungie's destiny fits into this
Oh lol the game is still in beta, didn't even notice and i've played quite a bit of it.
well the indie dev scene on PC is huge and most of those games don't require a strong pc.
yeah i agree about deep down, it's a working progress/tech demo be careful about getting excited just yet. capcom have yet to announce or confirm the game they are presumably making for the ps4 and maybe other platforms
@Sashamaz
yes but not all game devs invest time in making a demo. if they all did then that's fine. whereas with a streaming service the devs don't have to bother doing anything its sony that lets you try the game. also demos are typically used for promoting the game before its out while the streaming service will let you download and try the game (after release obviously)then decide if you want to buy it and if you do its already busy downloading in the background just contin...
seems like they are establishing a foothold in the uk and europe. uk is the only place besides the US where the xbox is popular it seems.
not accurate, if XBone was a girl it wouldn't be the one in the video because unlike her the XBone has no curves.
